Q: What is Vexxum Half & Half (tm)
A: This ain't your grandma's coffee creamer, this is the latest techno bat-wizardry to come from the mad scientists here at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex. What we've done with the Vexxum is revolutionary, we've mated a carbon fiber handle to an aluminum barrel to create the sickest swinging bat ever known to man. The ultra light carbon fiber handle flexes to give you extra kick, while the majority of the bat's weight is located in the barrel. Added weight behind the ball, plus the patented kick point means a smooth stroke and whopping distance for you.
Q: What is FLI (tm)?
A: FLI (Fiber Layered Inner) utilizes a carbon fiber wrap combined with a layer of DPF (DeMarini Power Fluid) lubricant allowing the walls to move independantly creating the new standard of high-performance and durability.
Q: Is the aluminum (C405, C555, DX-1) designation important to a bat's performance?
A: General material properties have a minor influence on bat properties. Overall, bat design ( i.e. FLI Technology System) has a much larger impact on bat performance and durability.
Q: What are these numbers that go around the base of the Vexxum barrel?
A: This is the Rotation Index (tm). As you use your bat, take notice of which number is facing you when you hit. After every hit, rotate the bat to the next number. This technique evens out the load and will reduce any "flat" spots that may occur and will help extend the life of the bat.
Q: Why doesn't DeMarini make a triple wall bat like some of the other companies?
A: By in large, the triple-walls, multi-walls and other DeMarini-inspired bats are gimmicks. We're not interested in selling gimmicks. We're interested in improving your game with advanced technologies.
Q: How does cold weather affect Doublewall bats?
A: Cold weather affects the ball, not the bat. A ball's core becomes harder in cold weather, causing the ball to dent the bat. Some players think that keeping a bat warm before hitting will prevent denting, but what they actually want to do is keep the ball above 60 degrees Farenheit.
Q: Should I use my DeMarini Vexxum in a cage?
A: No, batting cages can be especially hard on any bat. Extended periods of use with your bat is not advisable and will reduce the life of your high-performance equipment.
This bat requires special care, as it is constructed with precision-thin walls designed to enhance performance. Be aware that the bat is susceptible to denting in cold weather (under 60° F), which significantly increases ball hardness. High-compression balls may also shorten the life of the bat, as well as team usage situations. DeMarini bats come with a numbered rotation index, rotate the bat one number after each swing. Doing this will spread the hit load around the circumference of the barrel, significantly increasing the bat's lifespan.
Warranty applies when the Vexxum is used under normal conditions for which the bat is designed, and does not apply to altered bats or damage related to accident, misuse, improper care, overuse, or negligence. If DeMarini agrees that the bat is defective it will be either repaired or replaced.
