New Extended Barrels have Easton’s largest sweet spots ever. Longer barrels mean larger hitting surfaces. Add that to the biggest allowed barrel diameters and Easton’s patented Extended Flex Technology and you get the most massive sweet spots in the game. This model has a 1" longer barrel than last years comparable "Stealth Speed" bat.
Faster Swing Speed Easton uses laser precision manufacturing to minimize material overlap, removing excess mass from the barrel. The result is less weight at the end of the bat making it feel lighter, allowing a faster swing speed.
The ConneXion is Easton’s patented design that uses a rubber coupler to bind the bats handle to the barrel so the two pieces are independent of one another, which optimizes performance using “hinge” technology for efficient energy transfer. The rubber ConneXion piece completely isolates the handle from the barrel so they are not touching at all, eliminating vibration and expanding the hitting surface of the barrel.
IMX or Integrated Matrix Technology uses aerospace grade composites layered, angled and wrapped in a specific manner to provide the strongest possible structure for your bat. When composite material is wrapped at the proper angles, it allows for performance gains that separate the men from the boys. The composite fibers are layered and angled to maximize the hitting area, providing extraordinary feel while eliminating vibration.
CNT or Carbon Nanotubes are the strongest and stiffest materials yet discovered in terms of tensile strength and elastic modulus (the ability to stretch and return to original state). Carbon nanotubes are key structural strength components in high end Easton bats.
