The updated 2013 Easton Power Brigade lineup is yet again, the go to baseball bat for more players across the USA. The 2013 S1 BBCOR is literally, the best BBCOR Easton has ever made. Easton worked hard to make the S1 even more balanced than last year's version, and they succeeded. Easton's exclusive Black Carbon composite is used in both the barrel and the handle, and is stronger than last year in every way. Easton has a composite lab in Van Nuys, California, and they are constantly trying and testing new composite materials and construction methods to provide their customers with the most radical performance allowable in their bats. Also new for the 2013 S1 is the Diamond pattern grip, which should help players keep a better grip on the bat. As always, Easton composite bats come with a 400 day warranty against defects. Easton customers can be confident with one of the longest guarantees in the bat industry.

  • Pros: easton came to my school to demo the new power brigade bats. i hit all 6 of the new ones. the new S1 is SICK! its got some kind of a new handle and felt so balanced and had big time pop just like last years bat but better. i also liked the Xl1 but it was a little too heavy for me.

  • Pros: The new S1 is pretty nice. I got to try a demo and there was no vibration and it was actually really balanced and easy to swing. This is the bat to have right now. Everyone on my team wants one.

  • Pros: The new Easton S1 BBCOR is insanely hot. It it better balanced than it was last year. I have not had a chance to use it in a game, but I am LOVING this bat in batting practice. There is no vibration at all.

  • Pros: Really well balanced and super smooth with absolutely no vibration. I like the new grip Easton put on the BBCOR bats this year. The yellow and black is also the best looking bat.

  • Pros: This is the bbcor bat to have. Easton S1 all the way. If you are an elite baseball player, then you will have this bat. I switched over from rip it and have not looked back. The rip it was really heavy feeling and the sweet spot was just not that big. The S1 has a sweet spot twice the size of any other bbcor bat out.

  • Pros: Okay, so we all know the Easton S1 BBCOR was the best bat of 2012... What we didn't know until now was will the 2013 S1 live up to the performance of the previous version. I received my new Easton S1 BBCOR on November 15th. It was wrapped in shrink wrap around the barrel and the grip as well to protect it from dirt. I could tell from the second I picked it up that the balance was incredible, unlike the heavy DeMarini Voodoo or Rip It Air. I unwrapped this black and yellow beauty and began to take some swings on the varsity field. Instantly, I could tell how big the sweet spot was. The hits were smooth, and vibration free... all of them. I started off swinging easy to get used to the feel, but after about 25 pitches, I began to swing in batting practice mode. As soon as I assumed my normal hitting stance and swing, the S1 opened up. I was hitting line drives, gappers, and home runs. Even my ground balls were lasers through the infield. Without a doubt, the new 2013 S1 is as good a BBCOR or better than the old S1.
  • Cons: Yellow part of the grip gets dirty quick.

  • Pros: I was reluctant to spend this much money on a BBCOR bat for my son, but I am glad I did. I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and the Easton S1 is a situation where that applies. The S1 BBCOR is very light and is balanced like the old BESR bats (this is a good thing). And the jump of the baseball of this bat is amazing. Easton has done a great job, and I could not recommend this bat enough.
  • Cons: None at all.

  • Pros: I have the 2012 Easton S1 and the 2013 Easton S1. The 2013 has a better weight distribution compared to the 2012 S1 bat. I am going to sell my old Easton S1 now the new bat is here. I love the grip and the colors too. Overall great bat with tons of pop.

  • Pros: It is snowing outside right now so I have only used the S1 bbcor in the batting cages but I like it so far. We were allowed to swing their demo bat and it killed the ball. Think I will have to get this bat asap! Haha.

  • Pros: I've had this bat for almost two months now and it's definitely easton's best bbcor bat since their besr bats. I don't know why but when I had the chance to use the X1 I hit the S1 better. My cousin ( Whose bigger) swung the X1 better. I'm 5'10 He's 6'2.

  • Pros: Very nice bat. The pop is good for the S series. It is very easy to get through the zone and its very balanced. Highly recommend to a player looking for bat speed. Probably the most balanced bat i have ever swung.
  • Cons: The bat just sounds dead sometimes, but the performance of it isn't.

  • Review by: Ian Grider
  • Pros: This is an absolutely fantastic bat. By far the best BBCOR on the market. Incredibly balanced and tons of pop for a BBCOR. I love the sound of the bat too, not the typical annoying high pitch "ping" noise. Just a nice solid sound coming off the bat. No vibration at all. Great feel. A bit expensive but worth every penny. Just simply the best bat. Im a H.S. Jr. 5'11" 170 lbs. I swing the 32"
  • Cons: Absolutely NONE
