2014 Easton B4.0 Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA Balanced SP14B4

We all need balance in our lives, that's why we play softball every chance we get. The SIC Black Carbon fiber composite handle kills the vibration in your hands, and the dreams of the opposing pitcher. The barrel is built using the same proven IMX Composite that has been used in Easton softball bat barrels for several years, giving you a MASSIVE sweet spot and unrivaled performance. Balanced and easy to swing, this is a great bat.

ASA - The Balanced 4.0 is approved for play in ASA and ISF. The new ASA standard is super hot, and is no longer the USSSA little brother of bat standards.

One-Piece - Keep it simple. For the guys (and gals) that like a traditional feel when swinging, the single system design gives you the advantage of instant feedback. Many players who swing one-piece bats do not like the feel of whip you get with a two-piece bat (like a golf club).

Balanced - A balanced softball bat will feel lighter than an end loaded bat that is the same weight because more mass is located closer to the knob than the end cap. Balanced bats can be swung faster and controlled with greater ease than end loaded models.

12 Month Warranty - The One Year Warranty is back. 2014 Easton Slowpitch Bats will have a warranty against defects for 365 days from the date of purchase.

2014 Easton B4.0 Softball Bat Features:
  • Single System Composite Design increases bat control
  • IMX Composite barrel optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance
  • SIC Black Carbon handle improves feel and reduces vibration
  • 13.5" Barrel Length
  • Approved for Play in ASA and ISF
  • One Year Manufacturer's Warranty (No Warranty for Out Of Wrapper Bats)

  • Pros: I'm a 5'8 175lb base hitter that has never needed a big swing. I've had this bat for a little over a week and went to bp twice with my team using a .44 375 ball. It swings fast through the zone and is easy to make contact. It's the perfect bat for quick handed baseball swingers, or if you like to spread the ball around. I'm about 150-160 swings in and it looks to be holding up well. And finally, the folks here at Cheapbats have a good thing going, and are excellent to get advice from as well as buy from...Big ups to ya'll
  • Cons: Definitely do not like the extra thin grip... End cap appears to coming loose... Lacks big bat "pop" Tiny bit of vibe during non sweet spot hits...

  • Pros: It reminds me of the old Easton SCX3. I have about 150 swings on the bat and it is not showing any signs of spiraling. Very generous sweet spot on this bad boy. She'll be my gamer for sure when the season starts

  • Pros: Perfect slowpitch bat. I am extremely happy with this purchase. The bat is not too balanced, which i was worried about. It was hot right when i first took BP with it. I will be buying another as a back up when i have the money.

  • Pros: Took a few swings with it during an indoor practice, man does it have pop right out of the plastic. Feels really balanced just how I like it. Just an all around comfort when it hits balls.
  • Cons: The only thing I'm not to keen on is the super thin grip. Replaced it with a different one. But that really didn't take anything away from the bat itself.

  • Pros: Like all Easton's, it's stiff out of the wrapper. After 50 cuts, barrel starts to soften up, exit speed is a little better. After 250 cuts, sound changes, exit speed still increases. After 500 cuts, this is almost gamer status. You can throw any ball you want at it, and durability is not in question. This is one hot stick, and for less than $100...come on...its a no brainer. Thanks Cheap Bats!
  • Cons: There are no cons...I just wish I had the funds to buy more of them.

  • Pros: This bat has a very good sweet spot and gives instant feedback to wether you hit it solid or not. The grip is great I usually tear it off and replace with tape but this grip there is no need.

  • Pros: Loved this bat. The grip feels great and the pop is amazing barely swang and the ball was flying and that was right out of the wrapper. I can't wait till it's fully broken in recommend it to anyone.

  • Pros: Love this bat! Has great pop and really to swing thru the zone. Easy to control and has little vibration on a miss hit. This single piece has a nice stiff feel but let's loose when making good contact on the ball. Great bat for your money.
  • Cons: The grip is a little to thin for my taste and everyone keeps wanting to use it.

  • Pros: Good pop right out of the wrapper. Only getting better the more I use it. It's what I was looking for, a good balanced bat to get solid line drives with - to get on base!
  • Cons: The only con right now is I didn't like the bat tape that came with it. Too "papery" and thin. Replaced original tape with lizard skin tape. Much better now.

  • Pros: Everything about this bat is smooth. It's easy to swing and make contact, and when you miss it doesn't kill your hands. It's definitely not hot out of the wrapper, but it still has decent enough pop to hit seeds and homers with even 52's.
  • Cons: None yet.

  • Pros: Played 5 games with it so far, is not "Hot" out of the wrapper but its not a dud either. Taken about 40 cuts in BP as well, the last game it seemed to feel better than the first day, hopefully it keeps opening up the way it is so far.
  • Cons: Swings well, but feels heavier than some of the other 27oz bats my team has. Grip was ok, but I took it off and taped it to my liking. I rarely use a regular grip, so I was not expecting a great one on here to begin with.

  • Pros: After First contact, I was like damn this bat needs Major break in, I was getting very worried thinking in my head I have to return the bat.... In my second at bat the response was better, my third at bat got more pop and a way better response... I was to quick to judge... The more cuts the better is going to be....
  • Cons: Hand grip needs improvement.... Stiff at first.... Also this bat is made in China, better if was American made....

  • Pros: This bat felt really good to swing. It was able to handle ~60 hits per week (between the cages and time on the field). Excellent pop in the sweet spot. It felt just right and I was able to hit just about anything.
  • Cons: It broke near the end of the season. Granted, that was after roughly 1100 swings but it was still very disappointing to not have the same bat for the whole season. Also, there's no pop outside of the sweet spot mentioned earlier.

  • What all is this bat approved for? As in USSSA and etc.
  • Asked by Caden
  • The 2014 Easton B4.0 is approved for only 2 associations. ASA and ISF.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Yeah what is the difference from 3.0 to 4.0 on this bat? I am very interested in buying thanks
  • Asked by Big chief
  • The 2014 Easton B3.0 Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA Balanced SP14B3 is a 2-piece bat, while the 2014 Easton B4.0 Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA Balanced SP14B4 is a 1-piece bat. It comes down to your personal preference on whether you like a 2-piece or a 1-piece softball bat. Other than that they are the same.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Video states they have changed something in the barrel from last year. Can you explain what the change is and how it is supposed to help the bat? Thank you for your time and assistance.
  • Asked by Chop
  • The video is a little confusing in that Brian Kaye from Easton states they changed the barrels this year but the B4.0 has not been changed using the same IMX composite as last year.
