2014 Easton MAKO Big Barrel Baseball Bat -9oz SL14MK9

2014 Easton MAKO Big Barrel Baseball Bat -9oz SL14MK9

Introducing the Easton MAKO - THE FASTEST bat through the zone, with THE MOST barrel in the zone. The MAKO comes equipped with the new TCT Thermo Composite Technology which gives this baseball bat increased barrel length, a massive sweet spot, reduced MOI, and increased swing speed.

The new composite used to make the big barrel Easton Mako is the best to ever come out of the Easton lab in Van Nuys, CA. They spent several years designing and perfecting the TCT Thermo Composite layering technology. The result is a giant hitting area (aka sweetspot) that is hard to miss. You will be rewarded with line drives and home runs when you connect with the new Mako.

The all new Mako minus 9 ounce is designed for the power hitter on the team. The extra ounce of weight versus the minus 10 ounce 2 3/4" version gives this bat an advantage when a player is strong enough to swing the bat through the zone quickly.

The Easton SL14MK9 Mako has a 2 5/8" inch diameter barrel.

Mako Big Barrel Features:
  • TCT Thermo Composite Technology
  • Patented two-piece ConneXion™ technology maximizes energy transfer for optimized feel
  • 29/32" composite handle with performance diamond grip
  • 2 5/8" Diameter Barrel
  • Easton Model A111667
  • USSSA 1.15 BPF
  • One Year Manufacturer's Warranty

  • Pros: My son got this bat for Christmas and loves it!! He cannot wait for season to start and we hope he will do well in tryouts with this new bat. He has used it at his batting lessons and the balls jump off his bat.

  • Pros: So far, so good. My son used the bat right out of the box in a travel ball tournament. He went 8 for 12 batting lead-off.
  • Cons: All hits were singles. I think the bat needs to break in a little.

  • Pros: My brother got thsi bat in march. Took just a few hits for him to get a feel for it and now he rips the ball hard every time he makes contact. Even ground balls have a lot of steam on them
  • Cons: Break in time was about two weeks. Just rotate the bat after every hit to ensure the bat heats up on all areas.

  • Is it better than the 2-3/4 mako?
  • Asked by Logan
  • The material used on the 2014 Easton Mako SL14MK9 and the SL14MKB is the same. The SL14MKB with the 2 3/4" diameter barrel allows for a bigger hitting surface if your league or tournament allows for it. The SL14MKB is one ounce lighter as well than the 2 5/8" diameter barrel SL14MK9 Easton Mako.

  • Hi, Are you starting to receive these now? It appears you have 31/22 in stock now, but not other sizes? Most recently you and everyone else had all sizes on backorder (not released yet). When do you expect to receive 28/19 units? Is it possible for me to get on a contact list for once they arrive? 714-900-1795 Thank you.
  • Asked by Jeff Meeks
  • We do have the 31"/22oz Mako minus 9's in stock at this time. We do have pre-orders on the 28"/19oz bats that we do need to fulfill first and then will have the other sizes available for order. At this time we are not expecting the other sizes until the end of December.

  • Hi, Easton is being very sketchy about the release of this new bat. They don't have it on their site for sale, but have stated numerous dates when it will be there seems to be internal confusion there. They now say the bat should be in some retailers, but I have yet to see it. Do you know when you will have this in stock? I'm local and want to buy one asap. Thank you.
  • Asked by Jeff
  • This bat is expected to arrive in stock at the end of December. That was the last update we have received from Easton.
