2015 Easton Mako Torq Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA Balanced SP15MBA

The Mako Torq has made its way to the slow-pitch field! Easton constructs the Torq as a 2-piece bat made out of 100% TCT Composite material. TCT stands for “Thermo Composite Technology”, which allows the barrel to play soft and strong with a significant increase in overall performance. Connecting the hot barrel to the 29/32” handle is Easton’s patented CXN piece, stabilizing the bat and providing incredibly energy transfer. The handle is crafted with the new 360 Torq Technology, allowing the bottom hand to rotate naturally into the palm up/palm down position, eliminating the common “roll over on the ball” mistake while giving slow-pitch hitters the advantage of being able to square up more pitches, more often! This particular slow-pitch Mako Torq is preferred by contact hitters, as it has an Evenly Balanced Swing Weight to improve bat control and increase swing speed while going through the hitting zone. Lastly, this Mako Torq is approved by ASA and ISF softball associations.

  • Pros: Great bat for a great price. Not too sure about the handle at this time, but the pop so far is nice. Lets see if it still rotates after a season of dirt.

  • Pros: Wow! This bat came hot right from the get go. The handle takes a bit to get used to, but I can see how it keeps you in the zone a bit longer. After researching bats and prices, by far cheapbats has the best prices.
  • Cons: None at this time.

  • Pros: One of the best Easton bats I've ever used. Second shot was about 320 feet! The mako composite in all of the Easton bats is no joke! There is some real science behind that spinning handle too. I have this and I bought the realtree mako they made last year and both are amazing bats.
  • Cons: There are no cons. The handle is not a con unless you let it get to your head. It certainly improves the swing especially in my little league hitters who also have their own torq.

  • What happened with these bats. They were suppose to be the hottest thing going and Easton doesn't even make them after one year. Is it because they were made in China or is it the handle.
  • Asked by Bob T
  • Easton comes out with new bats every year. That is the going trend in the slowpitch market.
