2015 Easton Mako Torq Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded SP15MLU

The Mako Torq has made its way to the slow-pitch field! Easton constructs the Torq as a 2-piece bat made out of 100% TCT Composite material. TCT stands for “Thermo Composite Technology”, which allows the barrel to play soft and strong with a significant increase in overall performance. Connecting the hot barrel to the 29/32” handle is Easton’s patented CXN piece, stabilizing the bat and providing incredibly energy transfer. The handle is crafted with the new 360 Torq Technology, allowing the bottom hand to rotate naturally into the palm up/palm down position, eliminating the common “roll over on the ball” mistake while giving slow-pitch hitters the advantage of being able to square up more pitches, more often!

This particular slow-pitch Mako Torq is preferred by power hitters, as it has an End Loaded Swing Weight, allowing more mass to meet the ball at impact for increased hitting distances. The 26oz comes with a 1oz End Load, the 27oz comes with a 2oz End Load & the 28oz comes with a 3oz End Load. Lastly, this Mako Torq has the 1.20 BPF certification and is approved by USSSA, NSA and ISA softball associations.

  • Pros: Great pop. Started to warm up right at 30 swings. I didn't even notice the rotation in handle. The bat makes a perfect sound on contact. I got the 26oz (w/1oz end load), this bat is game ready.

  • Pros: Have 26 oz balanced version. I love 2 piece bats this one did take around 300 cuts and rolled to break in. (Typical easton) 360 handle is no issue don't even notice the rotation. Line drives are awesome. ...and still waiting for it to open up to make it an official bomb dropper thats why I'm rating it a 4. Over all it's a good bat. For 140 bucks it's a good buy
  • Cons: Break in period. But expected by an easton product. Only con 4 me

  • Pros: This bat swings nice and smooth. Love the end load. The new tct composite has a little more pop right away than the older imx. Can't beat the look and the price was great. Cheapbats is great to deal with and shipped quick.
  • Cons: I taped the rotating handle. It wasn't for me. I use an overlap grip and it felt weird.

  • Pros: -Solid Bat. -Once the bat was broken in I had no problem hitting deep to all parts of the field. -The 360° handle was interesting initially but if you line up your knuckles like you're supposed to the handle wont rotate at all. -Good sized sweet spot.
  • Cons: -Took close to 300 hits to completely break in. -The tape job was brutal on my hands. Suggest batting gloves.

  • Pros: This bat is awesome. The 360 handle is easy to get used to especially if you use a power grip and your hands don't go up that far. Have no issues hitting lasers through the infield and over the fence. Guys on teams I pickup on start using it after the shots they see coming off the bat. Great bat and pretty durable so far.

  • Whats the diffrence between. Ussa and asa? My league plays with 44/375 ball. Would these be right for it?
  • Asked by Balloholic
  • ASA uses different balls and bats compared to USSSA. The association that your league follows will determine which bat you can use. ASA uses .52/300 balls and bats that have an exit speed of 98mph. USSSA uses a harder ball 44/375- 47/400 with bats that have an exit speed of 100+mph. The Easton Mako SP15MLU will be valid for your league if they require USSSA approval of a bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Does the Mako Torq require a long break in time like all other Easton bats? Or is it hot out of the wrapper?
  • Asked by Legend
  • The 2015 Easton Mako Torq Slowpitch Softball Bat is made using the Thermo Composite Technology that requires less of a break in than most bats, though it will still require some breaking in to achieve maximum potential.
