CLOSEOUT 2015 Easton Raw Power Brian Wegman Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded SP15BWU

Introducing the 2015 Brian Wegman Raw Power for slow-pitch! Easton constructs this bat with a Single Piece Design, crafted with 100% IMX Composite material. IMX is an advanced composite material that optimizes the sweet spot in the barrel and maximizes overall performance throughout the bat. The handle is made with Easton’s SIC Black Carbon Fiber, which is going to eliminate vibration and give hitters a better feel.

This particular slow-pitch Raw Power is preferred by power hitters, as it has an End Loaded Swing Weight, allowing more mass to meet the ball at impact for increased hitting distances. The 34”/26oz comes with a 1oz End Load, the 34"/27oz comes with a 2oz End Load, the 34”/28oz comes with a 3oz End Load & the 34”/30oz comes with a 5oz End Load. Lastly, this Brian Wegman Raw Power has the 1.20 BPF certification and is approved by USSSA, NSA and ISA softball associations.

Brian Wegman Raw Power USSSA Features:

  • Single Piece Design
  • 100% IMX Composite

  • Pros: This bat is hot out the rapper. Stings the hands a little while going through the breaking in process if you don't hit it in the sweet spot. Once you get to about 300 hits this bat is straight fire. Line drives off this bat are just retarded. During bp today I was hitting line drives into a 330ft fence. Last but not least the durability on this bat is second to none. I've had this bat since the beginning of February and I've hit in 40-60 degree weather and it shows no signs of cracks or stress fractures. In my opinion this in one of the top bats for 2015 and if you like one piece bats you should definitely give it a try.
  • Cons: Not a fan of the gauze grip but a switch to your favorite bat tape will do the trick

  • Pros: I was looking for a bat hot right out of the wrapper with a 3oz end load, so I looked into the raw power series of bats and struck gold. Bought the bat thinking could be decent. Took it out of the wrapper for bp hit about 3-4 balls to get used to the end load and after that let the balls fly. The bat will hit bombs if that's what your looking for or if your looking for solid line drives it'll do that as well. Over all the bat is performing to what Brian's review has said about it from his videos. If your looking for the long ball and the power, look no further and purchase Brian's Raw Power series bat
  • Cons: I'm going to have to agree with Pat on this one, the grip on it is not that great, you can feel some vibrations through the hands. Bought a lizard grip for it and been happy since

  • Pros: Nothing beats a 5oz end load! It hits both .40 and .44 COR balls pretty well. As long as you can hit that small sweet spot.
  • Cons: It takes about 300 swings to break in an easton bat. If you are used to a worth bat, you will need to get used to a much smaller sweet spot

  • Pros: Nice feel through the zone. Very "whippy" feel, despite the endload. Haven't been able to swing it yet, because I bought it after the season ended. Looking forward to getting some cage work in with it this winter. I have a '13 L5.0 that's almost the same bat (different handle composite), and that thing took a lot of work to break in, so I'm assuming the same will be true with this.
  • Cons: Not a big fan of the purple, though the design details have improved since the rollout of the Raw Power series a couple years ago.

  • Pros: Decent pop right out of the wrapper. Takes several hundred swings to warm-up though. Love the stout end load on the 28oz model. Appears durability will be great as well. In the world of 2-pieces these days, this 1-piece is a must have. Price was incredible too!
  • Cons: Only con I can think of is swinging a purple bat LOL!

  • Pros: Hard to judge because this bat is incredibly stiff outta the wrapper. This is an easton though so it was expected. Prepare yourself for a nice break in period. Still has a sweetspot so if you get one it goes. Line drive to a 310 foot fence within first 30 hits but the rest were duds. Grip is awful, but again it's to be expected. Bought this bat knowing I was gonna have to put some love into it to make it great, so I'm happy with my purchase. Just don't expect it to be a gamer out of the wrapper.
  • Cons: The grip. Needs replaced ASAP unless you usually use only tape on your bats.

  • Pros: This bat was exactly what I expected from Easton. Good solid product right out the wrapper. The end load on this bat is as stated. Possibly a little more than I expect but I'm happy with the bat. The Bat itself - 4 Stars.......Customer Service from Cheapbats.com - 0 Stars........
  • Cons: The box the bat was shipped in was not padded on the ends. The knob is scratched up right out the package from Cheapbats.com. They also sent another bat along with the one I ordered, was supposed to go the CA but wound up in TN. When I called, they were rude on the phone and said if I didn't return the bat, they were going charge me for it? I wasn't happy with the customer service I received from Cheapbats.com.

  • Pros: I've been trained to put the ball where I want, this bat has great feel to it right out of the wrapper. I took it to the batting cages and was hitting the ball with great confidence.
  • Cons: Non that comes to mind, I've been playing baseball and softball sense I was a kid and I'm 61 years old and still keeping up with the kids. They say, you're 61!? I say yup. They say Wow!

  • How does this compare to the ASA version of the same bat? This will be used in a work league and not an ASA or USSSA league. Is there any difference with that in mind?
  • Asked by NGK
  • The SP15BWU will have a faster exit speed of the ball coming off the barrel compared to the ASA model. The ASA model has an exit speed of 98MPH while the USSSA model has an exit speed of 100+MPH.
