  • Hello, My son is playing Fall Ball. Moved up from Coach Pitch to Kid Pitch. He will be 9 in November. Wanting to purchase a new bat. He is skinny---about 4'4" and about 52 lbs. Would this bat be suitable for him?
  • Asked by Erin
  • It will depend on what style of bat your child needs. Will he need a big barrel or a youth barrel? Is he playing travel ball, Pony Baseball, Little League, etc? If your child is playing travel ball he will be allowed to use the JBB16MK12B but cannot use this bat for any other association as the barrel is 2 3/4" in diameter. Easton's bat sizing chart recommends using a 27 or 28 inch bat based on his height and weight.

  • My son is in a players pitch league. He is 4'4, 70 pounds. He has a great swing. Would this bat be suitable? and at what size?
  • Asked by Karen
  • If you child plays in a travel ball, club ball or USSSA sanctioned league than we can recommend this bat as it has a 2 3/4" diameter barrel. According to Easton's bat size chart he should swing a 28" or a 29" bat, but it will ultimately come down to what your child may handle.

  • My son is 11 years old, 4'6 about 72lbs. Would this bat the suitable for him? It says recommended for 8 years or younger. Should I be looking for a senior league bat instead?
  • Asked by Nicole
  • This bat would NOT work for your child. This bat is made for 8 and under and will break with his use. This is a young child's bat and the force of an 11 year old's swing will cause the bat to break easily upon use. We recommend the SL16MK10B if looking for a 2 3/4" diameter Mako for your 11 year old.
