  • Pros: I just purchased the z4 and compared the bat to a few others in a batting cage I found the bats unique shaped handle and comfortable grip just felt right.I hit many balls with many balls and I rated all the other bats about a 6 out of ten and gave the Louisville z4 a 9.5 out of ten.
  • Cons: Have not discovered con yet.

  • Pros: Bat felt great when you hit the sweet spot, which seems pretty large. Mid-hits still had good distance to them. The endload is pretty noticeable, especially since I usually swing balanced bats. Wasn't sure if I'd like the thicker grip, but having large hands it felt really comfortable, especially with the taper. Couple more rounds of bp & it will be my gamer this year.
  • Cons: Not sold on the gritty finish.

  • Pros: Hit with wrapper on 5th hit was 400ft plus with .44 core 375 balls in Florida! Was so impressed I bought two more. Huge sweet spot ball felt like it was jumping off the bat. Liked this bat more than Worth bats that cost triple the amount. A bargain at this price!

  • Pros: Let me start by saying I'm new to rec softball. I played baseball up until age 15. 15 years later, I got back on the diamond. After sampling teammates' LS and other brand bats, I felt most comfortable with the LS's. I went shopping and found this bat on closeout. Good reviews, gave it a chance. Decent right out of the wrapper, very nice after about 20-30 hits. I'm not a power hitter, never have been, but I now put about 25% of the hits to the fence. Lots of solid line drives into the gaps. Love the feel. The end load is barely noticeable.
  • Cons: The fact that half my team has now commandeered my bat and now that I like this one so much, I'm going to buy a balanced version also... So, no actual cons I've found yet after a season of games and BP.

  • Pros: It looked good in the wrapper and had a good feel to it. I purchased the lighter 26 ounce bat thinking it would help me get more bat speed on the ball cause I normally swing a 28 ounce. I have about 50 hits in on it right now. Seems to be holding up ok.
  • Cons: Not really as much pop as I would like to have seen on it compared to the last year model of the 4000+ but I guess it will be a good bat once it's finally broke in. I put it in the back of the bag and might use it. Just wasn't the bat for me to put in my main line up anytime soon. Guess it's worth the money now that it's on sale.

  • Pros: incredible value for $80, not as hot as the new miken/worth stuff but still was putting balls 375+ within the first 50 swings. EL definitely present but nothing crazy, just get it moving and the bat will do the rest
  • Cons: grip sucks but an easy fix

  • Pros: Nice Louisville Slugger sound, hits great. The endload feela great for a semi-power hitter. It looks amazing in person. Hits dingers in its sweet spot. Took about 50ish swings to get that broken in feeling
  • Cons: The stock taper on the handle isnt all that great but Ill redo it anyways.

  • Pros: Tapered handle is nice. The end load is smooth. The grit finish seems to make the ball curve after contact. The price (79.99) is a great deal.
  • Cons: The grip tape is kinda flimsy. Needs a while to be broken in.

  • Pros: Purchased this bat on the 30th of May and selected 3 day shipping and estimated delivery date of 6/2 and instead it arrived on 6/1 so that's a plus in their fast service. The bat itself was used out of the wrapper today and man instantly the "pop" was there. It still needs to be broken in to fully see it's potential however; my team says the bat feels good and it does. The colors are nice not too bright so that's a good thing. The "grit blast" finish is a nice touch. Overall, the bat is a solid bat and I'm glad I found cheapbats.com and purchased it for such a quality price.

  • Pros: First off I've never hit off a end loaded bat but I thought it would work better for me and I was right. Also this bat is a great bat, after about 30 hits it was good to go. Everything about it is great and even the colors are not to bright. I also received it in the grace period of when it said it would be delivered and I was happy that it came before one of my games so I could hit a few off then use it in the game.
  • Cons: I don't have any cons to say about the bat. Everything about is good!

  • Pros: Only have about 50-60 cuts on it, but so far it’s great. It feels a little heavier then other 26oz endloads ive hit but still a great feel. The grip is great, I really like the tapered grip. For the price it’s well worth it!

  • Do you ship to Canada?
  • Asked by Amanda
  • We apologize, but Louisville Slugger does not allow us to ship to Canada.
  • Answered by Mike
  • Just received this bat today and can't wait to try it this weekend. I'm curious about the sticker / graphics near the top. I can feel the texture on the barrel, and then it goes smooth to the sticker. Is that sticker intended to be removed? I'm guessing not as it's past the sweet spot anyways but figured I'd ask.
  • Asked by Karl
  • No need to remove anything on the bat. That is part of the design. We hope you enjoy the bat!
  • Answered by Mike
  • I recently moved down in bat size from a 28 to 26oz. I got a steal on a mizuno mamba from a friend. Besides the end load what other advantages if any does the Z4 have over the mamba. Cause I'm hitting the hardest line drives I've ever hit recently since moving to a 26oz.
  • Asked by Joe
  • The Z4 from Louisville and the Mamba from Mizuno are totally different bats from a feel standpoint. The Z4 is a multi-piece bat with lots of flex, while the Mamba is a 1-piece. Also, each manufacturer makes bats very differently, so it would come down to feeling both and going off of personal preference. If you're hitting great with the Mamba, then keep it going!
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • I have z100enf loaded, z4 is the similar? If not, what bat is?
  • Asked by Eduardo
  • The Super Z would be the most similar to the Z1000 line of slow pitch softballs bats from 2012.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • What is the difference between this z4 and the z4000??
  • Asked by Kim
  • There is not much difference between the two bats as the Z4 replaced the Z4000. They have made some improvements to the connection as well as the end cap.
  • Answered by Kevin
  • Does this bat have the USSSA stamp on it? I do not see it in the pictures. Also, does this bat come in 34"/30oz?
  • Asked by Billy
  • Billy, this bat will have the following approval stamps: 1.20 BPF USSSA, NSA, ISA. This bat comes in a 26oz, 27oz, and 28oz, however, it is not longer manufactured and all we have left currently is 26oz and 27oz. The newest version of this bat can been seen using this link: https://www.cheapbats.com/shop/2017-louisville-slugger-slowpitch-softball-bat-usssa-end-loaded-wtlz4u17e-p-8964.html

  • Are any bats gender specific? Some model #'s begin with a 'w' as in "women" and made me think about this question. Thank you
  • Asked by Luis
  • We currently do not have any bats that are gender specific. The DeMarini Mercy originated as a women's bat but is not a gender neutral bat. The W in DeMarini and Louisville Slugger bats, is a manufacturer's sku and will be in both DeMarini and Louisville as they are the same company. Easton company will have different model numbers, but currently no slowpitch bats designated for females.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Can the taper be removed if the user prefers? I suppose I am asking if the taper is part of the "molded" portion of the bat, or if it's part of the grip which can be removed/replaced if needed.
  • Asked by terry
  • This bat has a rubber taper under the grip. You will have to remove the grip from the bat to be able to cut off the taper.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is there a difference between the Blue Z4 bat and the Red Z4 bat? Both say 2016 and end loaded.
  • Asked by James
  • The Blue Z4 (WTLZ4U16E) is only approved for play in USSSA and NSA while the Red Z4 (WTLZ4A16E) is approved for play in USSSA and ASA
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is this a double wall bat?
  • Asked by Eric
  • This is a USSSA, NSA, multi-wall composite barrel bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Why do I see this bat priced differently on this page and is it different from the other Z4000 that are $40 More even though they say the same thing on them?
  • Asked by Keith
  • Due to the contracts and deals we can obtain from Louisville Slugger at the end of each season, determines how many closeout bats we can obtain and at what price we can purchase them at. Each closeout deal that we have with the manufacturer will be different thus not making each product the same price.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I have never swung a Louisville slugger bat. I use a Miken dc-41 27oz and it has a 1 oz end load. Will this bat feel about the same as a Miken? If not what is the best bat to compare the way they feel?
  • Asked by Levi
  • Unfortunately nothing will compare to the Louisville Slugger as it has its own unique feel to it. The Z series bats are unique to the market with their feel and sound.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I would like to know how much of an end load this bat has?
  • Asked by Levi
  • 1 ounce
