2012 Louisville Slugger TPX Z1000 BBCOR Baseball Bat

The new, 2012 BBCOR-Certified, Z1000 Baseball Bat from Louisville Slugger is here!  No matter how much the rules change, the game's leader in performance technology is still Louisville Slugger TPX, and that holds true at every level of play.

The Louisville Slugger Z1000 is equipped with Louisville's own LS-2X Composite Technology. High in strength and light in weight, our new, thinner graphite fibers allow us to reduce wall thickness for better performance without sacrificing durability. Vibration from a miss hit is absorbed before it reaches a player's hands. There's no sting from "off sweetspot" hits.

Swing 1 Inner Disk Technology

Swing 1 Inner Disk Technology (S1 iD) allows the barrel to flex to its maximum allowable performance level, and there are no frustrating break-in periods - this bat is game ready right out of the wrapper.

2012 Louisville Slugger TPX Z1000 BBCOR Baseball Bat Features:

  • BBCOR Certified
  • -3oz. Drop
  • 2-5/8" Barrel
  • LS-2X Composite Technology
  • Swing 1 Inner Disk Technology
  • One Year Warranty

  • Pros: I love how this is a complete one piece composite design! This bat has almost twice as much pop as the other bbcor bats. Me and my friend tested our sons bats my son has the z-1000 and hi son has the TPX Omaha no doubt this bat is much better and contains a lot more pop!

  • Pros: We tested different bats and the Z1000 is the best we tried. The sweet spot is bigger than other BBCOR bats, plus the handle wrap is of much better quality than the other Louisville bats. We heard that the Z1000 sounded different than other bats, but it sounds a lot like a wood bat, especially if you hit it solid. We think the TPX is comparable to the higher end DeMarini's which are good too, but the Z1000 is better.
  • Cons: The price is high, but you do get what you pay for.

  • Pros: The Louisville Slugger Z1000 was actually one of the highest tested BBCOR bats at my practice when Louisville came and let us hit the bats. The Z1000 is balanced very well and is really easy to swing.
