Wood done right! The Combat Backbone offers the performance of a traditional wood bat while keeping it cost-effective. Combat spent two years designing the Backbone baseball bat. Combat engineers insert a high strength composite insert (the "Backbone") in the middle of the bat and surrounded it with durable hard wood in a traditional 271 wood baseball bat turning model. The Combat Backbone Adult Baseball Bat also uses an "unbreakable" composite handle with a rock hard maple barrel plus a composite backbone cylinder down the middle of the entire bat. It does not get any better than this.

Pros: Hits like a normal wood bat but will not break! Crazy part is you can look through the end cup to the handle. Great bat for B.P. or games!

Pros: the bat wont break completely. nice small handle. great look.
Cons: the connecting piece between the barrel and handle broke after 2 games (it would not stay in place it would slide around) the break of the connecting piece showed how the 2 parts were put together with some sloppy glue work, shortly after the connecting piece broke cracks started developing in the bottom half of the barrel, if you hit the ball off the handle it isnt going to go anywhere because of how thin it is.
