Easton Raw Power L5.0 Slowpitch Softball Bat End Load SP13L5

Easton Raw Power L5.0 End Loaded One Piece Composite Slowpitch Softball Bat

The new Easton slowpitch Raw Power softball bats are here. There are two "Series" of USSSA softball bats in the Raw Power lineup; the B-Series (Balanced) and the L-Series (End Loaded). The Easton L5 softball bat is a one piece, all composite softball bat. The L5 is end loaded, and uses the Easton exclusive IMX composite carbon fiber in the handle and the barrel. The L5 softball bat will be stiffer because of the one piece construction.

What is the difference between the Easton L5 and the L1/L2? There is not a lot of difference between the bats. They are all end loaded, all top of the line Easton composite. The only real difference is the L1 and L2 use the latest "SIC" Black Carbon composite in the handle, where the L5 uses the older IMX composite in the handle. All three bats use the same IMX composite in the barrel.

END-LOADED 1-PIECE COMPOSITE DESIGN
  • 12" slight end load in the barrel enables maximum power
  • Single System Composite Design increases bat control and feedback from the ball
  • IMX Composite barrel optimizes the sweet spot
  • 29/32" handle
  • New Easton Ultra-Thin Gauze Grip!
  • 100+ MPH performance
  • Approved for play in: 2013 USSSA 1.20 BPF, NSA, ISA, SSUSA, ISF

  • Pros: This bat is great. No need to take BP with this bat. HOT OUT THE WRAPPER! Easton always makes a great product and it shows with the L5.0.
  • Cons: Easton should come out with a B5.0 for those who like a balanced feel.

  • Pros: Bat opens up FAST! I've never been a power hitter, but I took 8 out on a 310 field within the first 90 cuts on the bat! I've just started swinging endloads this year, and I love this one! Feels great when you connect with that sweet spot.
  • Cons: The only downside is that the Easton L series (endloads) are very drastic endloads. I have the L5 27 oz and it's 2 oz endload makes it swing like a 28 oz. It will take some getting used to if you've never swung endloads.

  • Pros: After what seemed like forever, this bat finally opened up and started hitting missiles. I had just about given up on it, then it suddenly became my gamer. Very different feel than most bats with it's very thin handle and short (12") barrel. Very "whippy" through the zone.
  • Cons: Right about the time it opened up, it also developed a significant rattle. Unfortunately, it was bought in the winter, though not used until spring, and the short 6 month warranty period had expired.

  • Pros: Good bat especially at this price. More of a base hit bat. Doesn't compare to the L2.0 as far as power. Good control and great line drive bat.
  • Cons: Not much pop out of the wrapper

  • Pros: Bat hits the ball great out of the wrapper. I have hit several balls 300+ with less than 100 hits on the bat. Great price on this one as well!
  • Cons: Maybe the end-load. I have the 28oz so it has a 3oz end-load. I don't mind it now but it does take some getting used to.

  • Pros: Awesome bat and for a great price! Bat warms up fast and has a great sweet spot. The bat just feels good. I love it!
  • Cons: Not any cons really. Slight rattle after 150 hits or so but nothing I'm worried about.

  • Pros: took the wrapper off a few days ago and gave it a round of bp. The first pitch out of wrapper was not a home run. It is very stiff at first but after about 50-60 hard cuts it started to open up a little... it is a tank and needs alot of work before it is fully broke in. Im more of a two piece guy but the one piece is starting to grow on me..... great bat great price
  • Cons: Cant go wrong with a Easton...........period
