Pros: I've used a lot of bats in my short life and this is one of the heaviest (not a bad thing!). Normally, I swing a 34/33 or 34/32.5, and use mainly Chandler, Sam Bat, and Trinity. My heaviest bat (34/34 trinity PS:271) actually has a lighter swingweight than this 34/31. I have to admit, I'm very impressed with the density of the wood and the quality of the wood. Grain lines are tight and evenly spaced with little to no waves and rarely deviate from straight. Not a big deal with maple, I know, but that's the difference between being handed to a pro player and being labeled as "pro stock" on a sporting goods store rack. However, this is MLB lumber...no doubt. I've only used this bat twice in batting practice but I can tell by the sound that this is a really good piece of wood. I think this will be a very durable bat for anyone who wants to use it. If it's too heavy for you, use it to hit for average. If it's too light (I doubt it...), hold back on that fastball for 1 more second and put that baby in the bleechers.
Cons: Finish is minor league...looks and feels like they forgot to sand the handle :/
Let's be honest though, finish doesn't matter. Performance does, and this bat is a top performer.
