CLOSEOUT Nokona UT-1225 Buckaroo Special Utility Glove 12.25"

Nokona UT-1225 Buckaroo Special Utility Glove 12.25"

Walnut Crunch: Nokona built its reputation on its proprietary Walnut Crunch leather. An old world tanning process is used in developing the unique, random dye pattern found in Walnut Crunch. Walnut is a full aniline leather, hand crunched and baled in the wet blue state with the creases stained darker, then vacuum dried, with a feel top added to provide tackiness when handled. The natural oils and waxes incorporated in finishing further highlight the character and feel.

Kangaroo: Pound for pound, Kangaroo is one of the toughest leathers in the world. Made from wild range kangaroo directly from Australia. While lighter in weight than typical cowhides, “roo” has a tensile strength 2 to 3 times greater than cowhide. The appearance reflects the wild nature of the kangaroo, and is ideal on the back of the glove to make it lighter and stronger.

Nolera Composite Padding System: Nokona’s new, proprietary padding system is lighter than traditional felt padding, but with similar absorption characteristics. Your glove will feel lighter, while maintaining its high performance.

  • Is this an authentic Nokona? I don't see the crest sewn into the glove on the thumb side, they usually have either the indian head or a white nokona patch sewn into the glove there. Thanks!
  • Asked by Ralphy
  • This is an authentic Nokona, as we receive all of our Nokona gloves directly from Nokona.

  • Is this a first base glove
  • Asked by Rechelle
  • This is not a specified "first base" glove. Nokona has come out with the 12.25" glove and labeled it as a utility glove. Due to the 12.25" size Nokona feels this glove is usable in the infield or in the outfield. This glove does not have the typical first base pattern but a standard five finger pattern.
