2014 Louisville Slugger Z3000 Softball Bat Slow Pitch - End Load ASA SBZ314-AE

Completely new for 2014, the Louisville Slugger Z3000 slow pitch bat also gets a new camo paint job. With improved durability in all 2014 Louisville Slugger softball bats, you can rest assured the best bats on the softball field will continue to be Louisville Slugger.

The new T2 Technology in the transition of the barrel and the handle is made to strengthen the bond of the two. The Z-3000 softball bat benefits from this link due to an increase in trampoline effect in the barrel and dramatically decreased vibration when hitting the softball. The T2 connection piece is thicker, sturdier, and stronger.

The Z3000 softball bat has thinner, high-strength walls in the barrel that allow Louisville Slugger to use more layers of ultra strong graphite fibers, making the Z3000 barrel lighter, thinner, and stronger at the same time.

Just ask softball superstar and USSSA Offensive Player of The Year Tim Cocco and USSSA 1st Team All Conference Lee Powers what the best softball bat is. They both use Louisville Slugger slow pitch bats.

Balanced vs End Load -  A balanced softball bat is easier to swing, despite being the same weight as an end loaded bat. Balanced bats are used most commonly by line drive hitters, while End Loaded softball bats are used by power hitters. Swing weight is personal preference, and we sell both about equal.

ASA vs USSSA -  These are the two most popular softball associations in the United States. The difference is how fast the softball is allowed to come off the barrel of the bat. With recent rule changes in both ASA and USSSA, they are now very similar in performance. Be sure to check with your league director about which bat you need. Or call our friendly staff!

ASA END LOADED Z3000 Bat Features:

  • Pure 360 composite
  • TRU3 – 3-piece bat construction
  • S1iD technology
  • End load swing weight
  • 7/8" tapered handle
  • 12" barrel
  • ISF, ASA approved

  • Pros: This bat goes hard!!! so much hotter than the z2000's. The three piece makes this a beast piece. Wouldnt get any other bat. These are the hottest bats out of the wrapper definitely. Looks awesome. camo is righteous
  • Cons: None. Besides losing some softballs in the ravine out behind left field...

  • Pros: Great deal for the price at the end of this years bat cycle. Have about 200 swings on it with .40/275, .52/300, and .44/375s. It is above average out of the wrapper in terms of pop/distance. Hoping it opens up a bit more with a few hundred more cuts. It lags behind the 14 Demarini Juggy out of the wrapper quite noticeably, however. I happen to love the sound personally. The sweet spot is quite large and you don't get any stingers on miss-hits. The grip is a plus unless you're one of those guys that prefer hockey tape/spray.
  • Cons: None other than the sound can cause those you play against to question if the bat has been doctored because they don't know any better.

  • Pros: After two trips to break this beast in I'm finally content with the pop it's putting out. Out the package, it's a bit stiff but warms up quick.
  • Cons: Doesn't sound as sweet as the balanced version does. (Balanced version does have about 100 more swings on it)

  • Pros: I only buy Lousiville Slugger bats mostly USSSA, started with he Z2000 and I have both the End load and Balanced. Started playing ASA and needed a new bat. I bought this bat (Z3000 end load) and it's Smoking Hoooottt. The USSSA bats needed to get some cuts on them to open up and get the extra 30-50' but this bat is whicked! Great feel, Great sound, Smoking Hot, Year Warranty, what else can you ask for!!

  • Pros: this bat was smokin' out of the wrapper. I threw into the gauntlet the first day by using it in a double-header; the whole team used it and won both games by a combined score of 45-3; I went 9-9 with two dingers; I'm 50 and still have some power in my old age and with this bat, pushing the ball over 325'-330'/over the fence was a biggie for me. I prefer the end-loaded and this is a great deal. Amazon prices are stupid. Again, ... all pros for me on this bat

  • Pros: Good sweet spot and easy to generate bat speed. I'm 38 and haven't played very much in over a decade. I hit about 60 off the tee to break it in and first time at BP I was hitting all line drives and bombs over the fence.
  • Cons: The grip is too bulky for my taste so I replaced it with very thin wrap. Easy fix.

  • Cons: The grip is ok a little on the thicker end wish it had a little bit more tackiness to it.

  • Pros: Feels awesome, the ball jumps off the bat. After first bp session the bat felt as if we had it for years. I was dropping bombs and i normally don't. The endload is noticable and helps give that extra whip. I would recommend this bat to anyone looking to add 20 feet distance to your ball flight. I intend on adding a second one since everyone on the team has decided to start using this ba-Z-ooka!!!
  • Cons: The only negative I can say is the sound, its not broke but if you have broken a bat it sounds as if its broke on each swing.

Had 2 of my players use it and they went and bought there own after hitting mine! Not a lot of people like the sound, but I love the sound! Not a lot of stingers felt on the hands, big sweet spot. A lot of pop once it's reached its potential, just have to be patient with it till it gets HOT! Great bat and quality! Also can tell the difference in the 3 piece technology!

  • Pros: The Z3k is designed to hit 52 cor balls, so let's just get that out of the way. Our league uses mush 40 275 junk, and this bat performs admirably. It's 375 to the left field fence and it's putting balls just short. In any other field, that's a dinger. The break in was accelerated, which is good. 75 swings and the bat started to be gas. The sound is cool, the graphics are fun and the three piece construction means that it's easy to enjoy, at any level of experience. At this price point, this bat is a must-have.
  • Cons: I like bats that have a little heft to them. I feel like I can swing this thing successfully with one hand. I really exaggerate the grip to add inches of leverage...which leads to good results. I couldn't hold Easton bats like I hold this bat. It feels like a girls fast pitch bat sometimes. It's not a bad thing though.

  • This being a 2014 bat, how long do bats typically remain on the approved list. I don't want to buy an ASA bat and have it removed from the approved list within a couple years. Thanks
  • Asked by Dave
  • ASA updated their approval in 2014 and had not update prior for 10 years. ASA will inform people of any new certification that they are planning on doing and even with new certifications, does not always mean older bats are no longer legal. A bat will come off of the ASA approval list if there is an issue with manufacturing and they have a faster exit speed than approved.

  • Can I hit all kinds of softballs or only the .52/300's? Will it damage the bat to hit 44's?
  • Asked by Kc Christopher
  • The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z3000 Slowpitch Softball Bat SBZ314-AE is made for the .52core 300lb compression balls. The harder the ball used will have more wear on the bat than the recommended balls.

  • The pictures of this bat show it's 28 oz., but the available option drop down only shows 26 and 27 oz. I would like a 28 oz...is it available?
  • Asked by Ed
  • Unfortunately we are out of the 28 ounce Z3000's and will not be receiving anymore in stock as this bat is no longer manufactured by Louisville Slugger and has been replaced by the Z4000.

  • how many ounces is the end load in the z-3000?
  • Asked by chad
  • The 2014 Louisville Slugger Z3000 Slowpitch Softball Bat in the ASA end load with a model number of SBZ314-AE has about a one ounce end load as Louisville Slugger does not specify in any of their written text or on the bat itself.

  • Is it a single wall bat?
  • Asked by Mark M
  • No, the 2014 Louisville Slugger Z3000 Softball Bat Slow Pitch - End Load ASA SBZ314-AE has a multi-wall composite barrel.

  • Does the Z-3000 or the Z-2000 have more power.
  • Asked by Josh
  • The only difference between the Louisville Slugger Z2000 and Z3000 Slowpitch Softball Bats are the construction. The Z2000 is a 2-piece bat that has a more sturdy feel, while the Z3000 is a 3-piece bat that has more flex. Other than that they are made out of the same exact materials, so it just comes down to your preference on a 2-piece or 3-piece bat.

  • what's the difference between the Z-3000 and the Z2000
  • Asked by gary
  • In the Z3000 Louisville Slugger is now using their T2 Technology in the transition of the barrel and the handle is made to strengthen the bond of the two. The Z-3000 softball bat benefits from this link due to an increase in trampoline effect in the barrel and dramatically decreased vibration when hitting the softball. The T2 connection piece is thicker, sturdier, and stronger.
