2014 Louisville Slugger XENO Softball Bat

For 2014, the new Xeno fast pitch softball bats come with some of the best research and technology in softball. The exclusive Pure 360 composite is Louisville's own blend of thinner, high-strength graphite fibers that let the designers use more layers of composite in the barrel, giving the 2014 Xeno added strength while reducing overall wall thickness. The S1iD system used in the Xeno barrel is unmatched by competitors softball bats. An aluminum disc inside the Xeno barrel gives this fastpitch bat a larger sweet spot and crisp, clean sound when the softball is hit. The 2014 Xeno minus 10 ounce has a balanced weight distribution, allowing easy, controlled swinging. 12 month warranty comes standard and the bat is approved for play in 2014 for USSSA, ASA, ISA, NSA and ISF.

2014 Xeno Bat Features:

  • Pure 360 composite is thinner and lighter
  • iST technology gives a solid feel and maximum sweet spot
  • S1iD barrel technology uses a disc in the barrel to maximize sweet spot
  • Balanced swing weight is easy to swing
  • Louisville Slugger end cap
  • Synthetic grip, 7/8" thick handle
  • -10oz Weight Drop
  • All Louisville Slugger fastpitch softball bats meet 1.20 BPF and are approved for play in ASA, USSSA, ISA, ISF, and NSA
  • One Year Manufacturer's Warranty

  • Pros: This bat is the real deal. The 2014 model is my daughter's second Xeno she has owned. Surprising well balance with a ton of pop. She is not a power hitter but the line drives fly off the bat. If you are looking to take your game to the next level..... This is the bat for you!
  • Cons: Grips do not last.

  • Pros: I can't say enough good stuff about Louisville Slugger and the Xeno softball bat. Louisville Slugger came to my school and let us hit all their bats. Almost all of us switched from our Anderson and Worth bats to the new Xeno and Onex. The pop was not comparable. We hit the ball much harder with the new Xeno.
  • Cons: White grip gets black and brown

  • Review by:
  • Pros: This bat is like no other. My daughter(14U) did not want to change from her old bat to the Xeno because it didn't feel or sound the same. This season so far she has 18 home runs. One every 9.8 at bats in tournament play. She has almost as many extra base hits as singles. THIS BAT HAS INCREDIBLE POP. She is going this Saturday to MLB Pitch Hit Run Team Championship at Citizens Bank Park and would not go without her Xeno. A lot of her teammates are now using their Xeno's too. For my daughter no other bat will do.
  • Cons: The grip wore out too quickly and we've had to have it rewrapped. Less than a dollar per home run? Who wouldn't pay that small price

  • Pros: Love this bat! Takes a little time to break in but once it is, it sounds great. My daughter's hitting distance has improved greatly. I coach dixie ball and even my girls who have never played before are getting on base with this bat!
  • Cons: Not really a con since they tell you not to but the first Xeno my daughter had broke in half because she used it in cold weather. Got it replaced and now we only use it when it's 60 or above.

  • Pros: Coming from a two Demarini (CF4 & CF6), the girl says it swings better and since using the Xeno she is hitting harder with more solid drives and more overall distance. Always subscribed to it being the archer and not the arrows... But the only change is the bat. YMMV of course so take it for what it's worth. The bat seems to work well, and build quality initially seems good for the price range. Cheapbats transaction was flawless.

  • Pros: This bat is excellent. My daughter used her coaches daughter's XENO and it was amazing. When she hit it sound like glass breaking. No vibration or anything. My daughter was really satisfied with it so I bought her one of her own. Your hitting distance will also improve. We love the XENO. I recommend this bat to any softball player. Also be sure to wear batting gloves because the grip get's dirty easily.
  • Cons: The dirty grip. Nothing else really. ;) :)

  • Pros: My daughter used her friends Xeno in a tournament and hit her first homerun. So of coarse I had to buy her one of her own. Made the purchase on Tuesday the bat arrived with free shipping on Thursday and by Saturday she had hit three more homeruns. This bat is hot straight out of the wrapper. Love it and the confidence it has given my daughter.
  • Cons: The only thing I dont like is the sound it makes when the ball comes off it. Sounds like glass breaking, but with the awesome results we have had I'm sure I will get over the way it sounds in a hurry.

  • Pros: This has been my favorite bat since it's release. I used it through my Senior high school season and bought one for myself as I continue my college career. I used to be a total Demarini fan, but this one has so much more pop than any CF4, CF5, or CF6 I have swung in the past. The grip has held up very well. I highly recommend this bat! The purple color is just an added bonus. Get this model while you can!
  • Cons: I can't find one bad thing about it!

  • My daughter is 12 she is 5"2 & weighs 93 pounds. What size of bat she should be using
  • Asked by Janette on Wednesday 20 August, 2014
  • According to the manufacturer's bat sizing chart she is recommended to swing a 31"/21oz. bat. The size chart is only a recommendation as many girls her size do swing bigger bats as well as many swing a lighter bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • i would love to buy this bat, but do you have the size 34/24? if you do, can you share me the link?
  • Asked by Arini on Wednesday 13 August, 2014
  • Unfortunately we do not have any 34"/24oz. in stock and will not be receiving anymore.

  • Is this bat 100% composite?
  • Asked by Brandi Smith on Thursday 07 August, 2014
  • The 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno is a full 100% composite bat for fast pitch softball.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • My daughter currently uses a 32/23 endloaded bat. She also has a 32/22 endloaded bat. She likes the Xeno bat and I understand it is a balanced bat. What weight Xeno should I order and should I get the Xeno any longer than 32.
  • Asked by Craig on Monday 09 June, 2014
  • If your daughter does like the drop 9 32"/23oz. we would recommend staying with what size she is most comfortable with.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • What size bat would be necessary for a 13 y/o. 5'2 1/2 , 187 lbs?
  • Asked by Lady Trojans on Friday 30 May, 2014
  • I would suggest a 33"/23 ounce 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno Softball Bat.
  • Answered by Mike
  • What's with the closeouts so soon after intro of the LXT and 2014 Xeno - the prices have dropped $100+ in a matter of 3 or so months since coming out.
  • Asked by K on Thursday 22 May, 2014
  • The new 2015 Xeno's and LXT's have already been released by Louisville Slugger and can be seen on ESPN during the Regional and Super Regional playoffs. We will have those bats later in stock this summer.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I am 16, 5'5, and about 170 pounds. I usually use a 33 in, but there's only a 32 and 34 in left in stock. Which one should I go with?
  • Asked by Katie16 on Saturday 17 May, 2014
  • It will depend on what you can handle. The 34 would probably be better and you can choke up.
  • Answered by
  • I have read a couple of reviews for the 2014 Louisville Slugger XENO fastpitch bat. They said that in cold weather, their bat broke in half. Does that happen in cold weather? Also, do you guys do same day shipping?
  • Asked by Heather on Monday 30 September, 2013
  • I am personally of the opinion that the weather has very little to do with a bat breaking. We did an experiment here a few years ago where we stuck a bat in a freezer for about six hours, then took the bat into our 90 MPH batting cage and tried to break/crack/dent the bat. The only thing that happened was our hands stung a lot when we hit the balls. That being said, we always recommend following the manufacturers instructions on how and when to use a bat. We offer free, same day shipping on orders placed before 2pm PST. Most of our high end bats and gloves come with free 2nd day delivery.
  • Answered by Mike
  • Does it have a warranty
  • Asked by Shuk on Saturday 31 August, 2013
  • The 2014 Xeno softball bat has a one year warranty from the date of purchase.
