CLOSEOUT 2016 Easton Mako Torq Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded SP16MLU

This Mako Torq has a 2-Piece Bat Construction and is crafted with a 100% TCT Composite Design. TCT, short for Thermo Composite Technology, is Easton's top composite material that gives you the biggest possible sweet spot, great performance, and incredible durability. The CXN barrel-to-handle piece is going to maximize energy transfer for an optimized feel, while also eliminating vibration/sting from getting to your hands. The 29/32" Composite Handle features the famous 360 Torq Rotation, which allows your bottom hand to rotate easily into the proper hitting position mid-swing. This rotation keeps you from rolling over on the ball, while allowing you to stay in the zone longer and drive through the ball more efficiently. The Torq Taq Bat Grip, an upgrade over last years gauze grip, has a nice tacky feel with the right amount of cushion. This particular Mako Torq is made with an End-Loaded Swing Weight, which gives the barrel additional weight towards the end cap, giving you more power potential at the plate.

  • Pros: Stiff out the wrapper. But it feels like it's coming around. Whatever you do take it for bp. Don't take it straight to a game. I have about 250 hits and feels like it getting loose.
  • Cons: Stiff out the wrapper

  • Pros: Decent pop, but only used for a few games so far; Feels like it'll take a while to break in before getting full effect
  • Cons: torq handle a little awkward at first, but got used to after a couple swings; would be a good idea to take to batting practice before actual games still breaking in the bat, but only used in a few games so far

  • Pros: I have used the 2015 model of this bat previously on one of my other teams I played for. When looking for a bat I noticed the 2015 model and the 2016 on this site and figured ill give the newer model a crack. Not disappointing one bit. To make myself clear. I am a singles hitter (yes i purchased an end load). My team is combined of a lot of great power hitters and they always seem to use whatever bats I have. They are currently using my old z-3000 (end load) and they all love it, so i figured id get another end load. Out of the wrapper taking BP i was making great contact, hard line drives and i found myself able to place the ball well. I started to take some power swings which i rarley do and the ball was flying off the bat. I used it in my last game and had a good hitting performance, a couple of hard hit line drive singles, and for the first time in years i got onto one and hit a hard line drive that flew over LCF and RCF head. If i was not coming off a Torn ACL it would have been an easy home run, but im much slower now and settled for a triple. Great bat, great pop.
  • Cons: I personally have none, some of the guys say the Torq handle takes some getting used to. If you can get comfortable its a great bat.
