  • Pros: The bat itself is great. I have literally never swung a LS bat until today. The flex is incredible, the pop is great, and you really do get the sense of holding quality and effort. This bat...I really can't explain it any better, I'm buying one today based mainly on pop and quality.
  • Cons: Only thing is for the manufacturer, the tapered handle feels off to me. It's too specific for me.

  • Pros: This bat is awesome! It is my first bat purchase and couldn't be more satisfied. I consistently get on base but usually don't hit very far, and my first game with this I hit a double and a triple to the fence. Sorry I don't know all the bat terminology but this bat has exceeded my expectations and others on my team as well.
  • Cons: It seems to scratch easily, which I am assuming won't effect the performance, but is still something to note.

  • Pros: This bat had some heat right out of the wrapper. As soon as I got it, I did some light bp with it (soft tossed to myself). Later that day I had a game and the first at bat was a bomb. The ball jumps off the bat and I have to say that you don't feel a thing! My whole team started to use it, so eventually I will have to purchase a new one. I like the tapered grip and the overall look. Looking forward to seeing this bat open up some more.
  • Cons: No cons as of now and I hope that it remains that way.

  • Pros: Handle being tapered out. Feel at contact is incredible. Mishits still give good feedback while still being solid. Best bat I ever bought in the last 3 years. sand paper texture for flight.
  • Cons: Small dislike but white is not my favorite color considering the conditions it gets used. Sound at contact takes some getting used to but results make up for it. I would not consider this for the extremely powerful hitter. I am mid tier and gives me that extra distance from the 3 piece design.

  • Pros: Great feel and well balanced. Hot almost immediately out of the wrapper, took about 30-40 hits before I finally hit one over the fence typically it takes 4 times that before the bat warms up. I would highly suggest this bat for any user, tournament player or recreational especially at this price.
  • Cons: No cons, I will be a repeat customer for sure in the future

  • Pros: This bat is insanely HOTT out of the wrapped. The texture on the bat is very nice and allows the bat to "grab" the ball and you will get a lot of movement from the knuckle ball coming off. It makes defenders jump out of the way. I purchased a 28oz and I see this one staying in play a long time.
  • Cons: The only con is that I didn't buy the bat sooner.

  • Pros: Great bat. I like to use a balanced bat to hit singles and this doesn't disappoint. Fairly hot out of the wrapper, but it is still warming up having only used it for 6 games so far. I've had a couple teammates ask to use it and they haven't looked back. The bat sounds crazy on contact and I love it. I've never had a Louisville Slugger before (2 DeMarini's previously), but I am sold.

  • Pros: Hot! That's all I got to say about this bat. I'm the kind of person that likes to bat with a bat before I buy it. I batted with a friend's version, and loved it. I bought this, and it was hot out of the wrapper. To get a full effect of Louisville's I recommend 50-100 swings before playing with it in a game. I'm so happy I'm thinking about buying another just to keep around for when this one dies.
  • Cons: Nothing. It's perfect.

  • Pros: It was very good bat, the great part is DUAL that i can play two associations- USSSA and ASA. The sounds is like glass cracking but that is typical LS. There is nothing to worry about that sound. Still blow the 52's away pretty nice. Cant wait to see the bat opening ups after 300 hits. Am exciting.
  • Cons: Bat grip tape itself is not great tacky and too thick. I had to change the tape from that to Lizardskin tape, its feels a lot better! Only hope it is durable, thats all.

  • Pros: HOT. Even right out of the wrapper it had great pop. Put about 300 hits on it in a cage and it just felt like it kept getting hotter. Can't wait to take this thing outside and see what it can do. Handle feels great with very little feedback on mishits. Also there is a very clear difference in sound between the sweet spot and the rest of the bat.

  • Does this bat ship to an APO address?
  • Asked by Steven Saunders
  • We do not ship to APOs. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Do you ship to Canada?
  • Asked by Sylvain
  • Unfortunately due to contracts with our suppliers we are not allowed to ship outside of the 50 American states.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • With this bat being composite, is it considered to be a "single wall" or "double wall"?
  • Asked by Daniel
  • The "single wall" distinction is usually for alloy barrel bats. All composite barrel bats will be considered multi-wall bats. This Z4 is a multi-wall bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • What ball are these made to hit?
  • Asked by Josh
  • All ASA bats as well as the Z4 are made to hit the .52 core 300 pound compression balls.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Does the z4 swing and feel as balanced as the super z? Does the ball come off it the same?
  • Asked by Josh
  • The Z4 will have a 3 piece design while the Super Z is a 2 piece design. They will have a different feel when making contact but will have the same performance.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I'm looking for a usssa bat that swings similar to the demarini mercy. Any idea how this compares?
  • Asked by Chelsea
  • The Z4 would have a balanced swing weight similar to the Mercy but will have a completely different feel and sound when making contact compared to the Mercy. Both will perform similar.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I'm looking for a usssa bat that swings similar to the demarini mercy. Any idea how this compares?
  • Asked by Chelsea
  • Currently DeMarini does not have a balanced swing weight USSSA bat that would compare to the Mercy. If switching from the Mercy to a USSSA DeMarini bat you would have to add an end load to your swing and the closest DeMarini USSSA bat to the Mercy would be the Juggy DB44.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is the z4 a good bat for clinchers
  • Asked by Rich
  • Alloy barrel bats work best with Clincher softballs. Clincher balls have a lower compression and softer core than most other softballs. With this being said a composite bat is not most affective with Clinchers. We would recommend an alloy barrel bat if using the softer balls.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Hi, How does this Z4 compare to the Super Z Balanced bat (SBSZ16A-B). Thanks
  • Asked by Steve Perlowski
  • The Super Z is a two piece bat while the Z4 is a three piece bat. The Z4 replaced the Z4000 while the Super Z replaced the Z 2000.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
