2015 CLOSEOUT DeMarini FLIPPER AFTERMATH USA Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA WTDXFLA-15

USA! USA! USA!

Made as a 2-piece Hybrid, the Flipper Aftermath USA has the tools to be one of the best slowpitch softballs bats for 2015, ready to mash and crush the 52/300 softball game. The Divergence Composite Barrel/SC4 Alloy Handle combination gives this Flipper USA great barrel-to-handle energy transfer, which creates an enhanced trampoline effect in the barrel that will consistently increase the distances of your hits. Speaking of trampoline effect, the Dish End Cap redirects contact energy back to the sweet spot at the moment of impact, adding more power to your bombs while dampening that unwanted sting/vibration, keeping your hands comfortable at all times.

The Flipper Aftermath USA has a 12” Barrel Length, a 2 ¼” Barrel Diameter & comes with the ASA approved stamp, legalizing this bat for slowpitch softball play.

  • Pros: As a senior league player losing distance with age I needed a bat with some extra pop. Limited use so far but it appears that this bat has given me those extra feet that I have been missing. I like the feel of the thin handle.
  • Cons: None so far

  • Pros: A lot of people say that this bat is hot out of the wrapper, but I feel like it needs a few hits on it. It hit well right out of the wrapper but now that I have a couple of weeks with it, it hits even better.

  • Pros: Have 100 swings on this bat at time of review with a majority 52/300 and some southern californina specials .40/275 balls. The term "hot out of the wrapper" gets thrown around a lot but the USA Aftermath deserves the distinction. I own and have swung plenty of 2014/15 ASA bats from Easton, Louisville, Miken, Monsta, and Demarini, and Demarini leads the way by far. I'd compare the USA Aftermath to a Juggy only slightly stiffer (due to the aluminum handle) and slightly more endloaded. The barrel also has a slightly stiff feel to it, but not a dead-stiff feel like ASA Eastons with less than 500 hits have. 52s sound and feel great off this bat. Distance wise, this also outpaces my Z4000 ASA and the 2015 Easton ASAs easily even after only 100 swings. The only thing I can't speak to at this point is durability, but I won't be using it with anything harder than a 52/300, so durability shouldn't be an issue.
  • Cons: None, but you'll sacrifice its durability using this with anything harder than a 52/300 like a Classic M or old 44/375 ASA ball.

  • Pros: Good pop right out of the package. Getting better with use. It's a team favorite.
  • Cons: We have had to return two, one because the outside paint/design started to crack and peel and another due to a broken handle, both with normal use (no unusual breakin procedures or misuse). Demarini, however, provided excellent warranty service and replaced both bats in a timely manner.

  • Pros: This bat was smoking line drives right out of the packaging. The weight is really great for me, too. I like bats a little end loaded, though it actually feels pretty balanced. The grip is fantastic. I hope it lasts for awhile.
  • Cons: None. I had the 2012 Flipper that I loved to death and it finally cracked during a very cold game last fall. I like this one as much, if not better than, the 2012 version.

  • Pros: So I got this bat yesterday on a suggestion from a teammate. We swung with it today and all I can say is wow! The boy jumps off the bat like I've never seen. Even if you're not hitting a deep ball line drives scream off the bat. I would recommend this bat to anyone who plays softball no matter if you get the Deep ball or the base hit. Once you get passed the first 100 swings it gets even better. Hot out of the wrapper is an understatement.

  • Pros: Have the 2014 model and love it. After a couple thousand hits it's starting to crack. Bought the 2015 model and it is just as hot out of the wrapper. Love this bat for as a 52 core balls.

  • Pros: Hottest bat I've ever used. Started cracking and I could tell it was giving me some extra pop. Stiff handle is also a plus. Solid stock handle wrap but replaced with skin. About < 500 swings in and it's still killing like it was brand new.
  • Cons: N/A at the moment.

  • Pros: Awesome bat 150 swings on it so far hitting 300 consistent! ASA only bat with 2013 stamp. Best bat by far to use with new ASA 52 Core balls. Also, nice stock grip but ended up changing it out after 2 weeks.
  • Cons: Could not hit past 315, maybe with some more break in time it'll get there. Only use 52 core Balls with this bat, older 42's can crack it.

  • Pros: I bought this bat back in January and since I live in the Midwest I haven't had a chance to use it till recently and the first to bat I put the ball about 150 feet in the air and to the fence I am thoroughly expressed with the feel and the pop right out of the wrapper I will continue to use this bat for years to come.

  • Pros: Great bat, but took a few swings to get it going. However; it now rakes. I was hitting home runs over 320 ft fences off a tee after about 100 swings. I'm normally a power hitter, but this bat takes it to another level.
  • Cons: Took a bit to break in Not a great sound off the bat (but who really cares)

  • Pros: Awesome bat! After a few swings it was hitting as far or farther than a well broken in Flipper Aftermath OG. These bats hit farther than a Miken ultra 2, and Miken psycho. I do in depth searches for the best price and cheap bats usually leads the way!

  • As age creeps up on me, I'm losing power and bat speed. Will this Demorini bat hit 44cor 375psi better than other bats? If not, which bat(s) would you recommend? I play in senior softball leagues and am 71 years young.
  • Asked by Ray
  • To answer your final question, it all comes down to which certification you need for your league or tournaments. The Aftermath is made for the .52/300lb compression softballs and will perform best with those, while the USSSA approved bats will perform better with the 44/375 balls. It ultimately comes down to what is approved for you though.

  • I currently swing a Miken FREAK 52 Supermax. 34/27oz If I went lighter with the flipper (26oz) do you think that would still give that "Trampoline" effect on bombs?
  • Asked by Pete
  • The DeMarini Flipper Aftermath will have a completely different feel than the Miken Freak 52 Supermax. The lighter the bat, the more bat speed you have, but at the same time there is less force behind your swing. It is difficult to say if you drop down in weight if you will still hit "bombs" or not. If the 27 ounce is becoming too heavy for you, we would recommend dropping down in weight, but if it is not, we recommend sticking with the 27oz.

  • What other triple wall bats does DeMarini make? I currently have the juggernaut and love it.
  • Asked by Scrub
  • The 2015 DeMarini Flipper Aftermath USA bat is a composite barreled bat with an alloy handle. The composite barrel is made of multiple layers of composite as is the Juggernaut. DeMarini has 5 other ASA approved composite barrel bats currently. The Yeti, The Chupacabra, The Flipper Aftermath OG, The ONE, and the Mercy.

  • What is the endload on this bat? Thanks.
  • Asked by Joe
  • This bat has a 1 ounce end load.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I play in an asa league that uses 40 cor 375lbs compression balls. Would this be a good bat for those balls? Also does it come in 34/30? I have used the Easton stealth speed xl and the anderson rocketech and haven't been thrilled with the feel of either.
  • Asked by Michael
  • The 2015 DeMarini Flipper Aftermath USA slowpitch softball bat is designed for the .52 core 300lb compression balls. The 375lb compression balls will have more wear on this bat. The Aftermath USA model is not offered in a 34"/30oz.
