2015 Worth Sick 454 Greg Connell ASA Slowpitch Softball Bat Balanced SBSBA

Balanced- Softball bats that are balanced have less weight at the end cap, making them easier to swing, and allow for ultimate bat control

One-Piece - 1-Piece construction gives the batter more feedback when the softball is hit. The one-piece bat feels solid, and is what most people are traditionally used to. There is a chance of more felt vibration in the hands with a one-piece bat, but not much.

Born In The USA - Every composite Worth Slowpitch Bat is made in Minnesota, USA at one of the most advanced composite labs in the world.

Legit vs Sick 454 - The Worth Legit Power Core now has the composite fiber laid at more optimal angles than before. This change is allows the Legit to be hot right out of the wrapper. With the Worth Sick 454 design, the bat is built using a new two part resin process that that makes the bat stronger than ever before while still keeping it's legendary pop.

2015 ASA Greg Connell Softball Bat Features:
  • Greg Connell Softball Bat - Signature Model
  • Sick 454 Tech - 1-Piece balanced composite design engineered for stiff taper flex
  • Made in the USA - Proudly manufactured in the United States of America
  • Worth’s 454 USA technology has a new two-phase resin system making the engineered carbon fiber composite hotter and stronger than ever
  • Approved for ASA and ISF only. Not legal in any other associations.
  • 1 Year Warranty against defects
  • 26oz, 27oz, 28oz, 30oz

  • Pros: Yeah baby yeah! I formally used to use a Worth Legit 454 but they dc'd it, so on to the next. This bat is awesome right out of the wrapper, sweet spot is huge, and my team has been hitting home runs left and right with it and it's not even broken in yet. Love this bat!

  • Pros: The bat looks and feels awesome. I'm not a big hitter kind of guy but I'm definitely getting more distance on the ball with this bat. A few trips to the gym and it could be over the fence.
  • Cons: White gets dirty easy but it's the price you pay for that color.

  • Pros: Well balanced bat. I was driving liners as soon as I removed the wrapper. As I am not a power hitter, I am actually hit the ball harder than with my Reysmondo end loaded bat. Although when I get the perfect pitch to drive, I am able to get more distance with the Reysmondo.
  • Cons: Bat feels a tad heavier than 26oz.

  • Pros: Bat feels well balanced. Grip is one of the best and feels really good. Bigger sweet spot than normal. I'm not a power hitter, but it does has a little extra pop.
  • Cons: This is minor for me, but may affect power hitters. It's not as hot out of the wrapper as other reviewers. I already got about 40-50 hits out of it, but I only noticed a little difference on the pop from the first hit to the 50th hit.

  • Pros: Nice looking bat with a good sweet spot. Ok feel if you like a stiff feel. Hope it gets better once it breaks in.
  • Cons: Doesn't have the pop I hoped. I have about 150 swings on it and still waiting for it to open up. Not hot out of the wrapper. Useing it in BP and barely reaching the fence. Picked up my Miken freak and over the fence they went. Hope it gets better.

  • Pros: My team typically pitches in each year for a high end bat that ultimately ends up beat up and dented by years end. I bought this Worth (30oz) and love it through 3 games so far. I'm not a fan of end loaded bats so the balanced feel of this Worth works great for me. It has good grip, and pop. It rivals any $250-$300 I've used the last few years.
  • Cons: None yet, but still early (hence only 4 stars). Looking forward to seeing how it holds up through 4 different leagues this year.

  • Pros: No doubt its just like the other reviews say. It pops hard right out of the wrapper. One of our players knocked it over the fence on its first inning of use. I think its gonna be nasty when its broken in.
  • Cons: I got the 30oz so that in itself is taking some getting use to. Great bat for the price.

  • Pros: This is a great bat with a big sweet pot. I'm not a big guy (5'5", 180lb), so I don't normally hit with power, even with the better bat from my team. However with the balance of this bat and the big sweet pot are helping me carry the ball a good 20 feet. It also doesn't take long to break in.
  • Cons: This no a big deal for me, the bat will dirty very quickly

  • What is the difference between the composite in the sick and the legit?
  • Asked by Jt
  • Worth's Sick bats use their Sick composite technology and are of a one piece design. Most of the Legit bats are a two piece design and use a different composite based on which Legit bat you are looking at.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • What is the barrel length on these sicks? Ussssa as well as the ASA versions?
  • Asked by BLT
  • The 2015 Worth Sick 454 Greg Connell ASA slowpitch softball bat SBSBA features a 14" barrel. This is for the ASA version as we do not have any of the USSSA approved Greg Connell's remaining in stock.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is it safe to break in this bat on batting cages with the yellow dimple balls?
  • Asked by Jose Quevedo
  • It is never recommended to use composite bats in a batting cage with the yellow dimple balls, whether they're broken in or not.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • My league still uses 44/375 lightning balls. How would this bat perform compared to the 52/300 and how would the durability stand up with the harder ball?
  • Asked by TC
  • The 2015 Worth Sick 454 Greg Connell ASA Slowpitch Softball Bat Balanced SBSBA will perform well with the 44/375 ball. All ASA bats from 2013 on are made technically for the 52/300 balls and so the durability of the bat will not be as long as if you were using the softer balls.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • i see that the 28oz is the heaviest you have in stock. Does the 2oz different really effect power that much?
  • Asked by Brad
  • The weight of a bat is a personal thing and will all matter to the user. For some people two ounces may make a big difference and to some it may not.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I play in 3 ASA leagues where we play with a regular DeBeers Clincher (or mush ball). Is this bat a good choice? My previous 30oz Bruiser lasted me forever.
  • Asked by JR
  • The rule of thumb: If the softball is soft, use a harder-barrel bat (such as aluminum). If the softball is hard, use a softer-barrel bat (such as composite). Since the 2015 Worth Sick 454 Greg Connell ASA Slowpitch Softball Bat Balanced SBSBA is 100% composite, it wouldn't necessarily be the ideal bat for a soft clincher ball as it's more made for the 52core/300lb compression softball. If you like the brand Worth, then I might recommend the 2015 Worth Amp Alloy Reload Slowpitch Softball Bat SBA5UA as it has the ASA stamp that you need for your leagues and has an hard aluminum barrel. It's not nearly as well constructed as the Sick 454 Greg Connell, but may be more effective with a clincher ball. If you wouldn't mind switching brands then I would recommend the 2015 Anderson RockeTech 2.0 Slowpitch Softball Bat 011037, the 2015 Anderson Flex Slowpitch Softball Bat 011039 or the 2015 Easton Salvo Scandium Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA End Loaded SP15SVS.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • WHY IS THIS BAT MARKED DOWN SO MUCH? YOU GUYS HAVE THE BEST PRICES BUT ITS A 2015 SO I AM JUST A LITTLE CURIOUS.
  • Asked by rick
  • This bat was part of Worth's first run of 2015 bats and they have already released their newer versions. We have bought out Worth's remaining inventory at a great price and was able to reflect that price back onto our customers. These bats are new & unused in the wrapper and come with a one year manufacturer's warranty. We are committed to leaving you 100% Batisfied!
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is this a good deal? I am looking for a good bat but not too expensive. I hit more in the gaps and not home runs. Thank you.
  • Asked by Jackson
  • This is a great bat at a great price. The balanced 2015 Worth Sick 454 Greg Connell is a one of our best selling ASA approved slowpitch bats overall. This bat is well suited to both power and line drive hitters. Your batisfaction is guaranteed!
