2016 DeMarini SF8 Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA WTDXSF8-16

The ZnX double wall alloy barrel packs a mean punch, giving you great power and a lethal sweet spot right out of the wrapper. The ZnX represents a uniting of zinc to aluminum to produce a heat-treatable alloy that significantly increases the material strength and ultimately gives you a stiffer feel and less flex in the taper at the point of impact.

  • Pros: Right out of the wrapper this bat is on fire!!!! My first 2 at bats were a rope down the first base line ending up in a triple, second at bat was shot thru left center an inside the parker and my 3rd at bat was a solid 360ft or more liner over right center ending in an HR. So I would say this bat FRIGGIN ROCKS!!!!!
  • Cons: That I was not using it sooner :)

  • Pros: Great pop off of this bat and it's not even broken in yet.... Im a smaller guy with not a ton of power...(usually a base hit/double hitter) but I instantly have power with this bat...putting balls over the heads of the outfielders...2 in the park homers in my first game using it. Also, love the look and color scheme.
  • Cons: Small grip. Recommend adding bat grips.

  • Pros: This bat is an absolute beast. These days the heavier bats are taboo and sites are more and more reluctant to carry them. Cheap Bats did and at a price that was impossible to pass up. These guys have a customer for life in me.
  • Cons: No Cons whatsoever. Awesome service from order to delivery.

  • Pros: This bat sends the ball flying with ease. High quality materials. It looks cool too.
  • Cons: Handle is a little too thin for my taste. Some leagues ban double walls. This bat has that written on it in huge letters, so don't try to sneak it in.

  • Cons: Don't really like the colors, but that doesn't affect the performance of the bat. So no real cons!

  • Pros: About 4 weeks into the season now and the bat is finally coming into it's own. It took a handful of swings, but went 8-9 last 9 plate appearances. Getting that power and I am really enjoying hitting with it. No sting and comfortable grip.
  • Cons: I was a little worried at first. I couldn't hit the ball out of the infield for 2-3 weeks. But overall no complaints.

  • I had purchased a 27oz couple weeks ago and I love it. I wanted to get another bat for my league since only allows alloy barrel. I could only see 28 oz available. Would it be any different than the 27oz? Or just heavier? Is it a big difference on the weight from 27oz to 28oz? Will they add more 27oz soon? To wait or just go purchase the 28oz. Thanks
  • Asked by Mkperez
  • We will not be receiving anymore of these bats. A 28oz. will be heavier than a 27oz. bat by one ounce.

  • Does the sf8 have a large sweet spot?
  • Asked by Give er #6
  • The SF8 has an average sweet spot. It will be larger than most alloy bats but smaller than a composite.

  • Im looking for a Demarini bat with lots of pop! Would this one be a good choice? I know power comes from the person but a bat can help a Lil and I keep trying to figure out which one Demarini. Juggy og, Demarini the one og, Demarini raw steel or the Demarini sf8???
  • Asked by Kram321
  • It all depends on which bat standards you need to follow and what you prefer. The SF8 is an alloy barrel bat and will perform better with a softer ball. The Juggy and One are composite barrel bats and will have more pop with a harder ball than the SF8. The Raw Steel is a single wall alloy barrel bat and will have the lowest exit speed of the ball coming off the bat.

  • How well will this bat perform with a ball that is a SB-12, Core 44 to 48???
  • Asked by jim
  • Not so much of the core do you need to worry about more as the compression is the main factor in the performance of a ball and bat. This bat is made for the softer balls.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • How does this bat hold up to 40/325 softballs? Coed league. Guys can't use composit barrel bats.
  • Asked by Ed
  • This bat will perform very well with the 40/325 balls as this is an ASA bat made for the softer ball.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is a bat returnable if you don't like it after you take swings on it
  • Asked by DJ
  • All bats can be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase new or used.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Does this bat have a good pop?
  • Asked by Omari
  • This is a double wall alloy barrel bat. If you are using softer balls such as the .52/300 or .52/275 it will perform great!!
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • How will this bat handle the 44/375 balls?
  • Asked by Rob
  • This is a multi-wall alloy ASA bat. ASA bats are made for .52/300 balls. This bat can and will perform will with the 44/375 ball but those harder balls will put more wear and tear on the bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is this bat aluminum?
  • Asked by J
  • The SF8 is a double wall aluminum barrel bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • How does this bat do with the 52/300 balls that all these Asa leagues are using
  • Asked by Nick
  • The 2016 DeMarini SF8 is a multi-wall alloy barrel bat made for the 52/300 balls. It should perform well with those balls.
