2017 DeMarini Dinger Slinger Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded WTDXDSU-17

This Dinger Slinger bat is made with a Paraflex Composite Barrel, which is 22% stronger than previous composite materials that DeMarini would use, allowing for a more precise weight distribution, massive pop, and incredible durability. The ZnX Aluminum Alloy Handle is going to add some stiffness, eliminating some of that excessive flex feel that you get with all-composite bats. Get your Dinger Slinger today, right here at CheapBats.com! No Hassle Returns, Batisfaction Guaranteed!

  • Pros: This bat definitely needs to be broken in before you take it to the games, but once you break it in you can definitely hit bombs with it, and im definitely not a power guy!

  • Pros: This bat gets no love because it has to be broken in, but if you bang on it for 100-200 swings it is fire. Very good bat, but must be broken in. Great price.

  • Pros: Like y'all are saying. Break in period is for real, but don't let that fool you. The DS is legit. It's funny because the bat gets no love from other players... until they try it!

  • Pros: Break in period is 100 swings. Anyone that says more is being dramatic. This bat SMOKES the ball after the first 100 hits with 44/375 softballs. This is the steal of the year. It was a poor seller initially because of someone's bad video review on a softball message board. Don't believe it. This bat is worth way more than the $129 it is going for.

  • Pros: Once this bat started to open up the ball jumped off of the bat. This bat sounded terrible out of the rapper it had a wood bat sound but not that pretty crack off the bat everyone loves to hear but instead it was very dull and the ball didn't want to fly at all but at around 100 swings you could start to hear some life in it. At around 150-170 swings you could start hearing the bat making a cracking sound when you squared it up and its only sounding better. I'm really interested on how this bat performs when it's completely opened up. All i have to say is the more BP you take the better the bat gets and I am absolutely loving this bat now.
  • Cons: It takes awhile to break in.

  • Pros: If you can make it past the first 30 - 40 swings that will feel just awful, this is a really good bat at an even better price. It no joke feels like swinging a tree trunk the first few dozen hits, but it breaks in pretty quick after that and hits lasers soon after. If you can't hit with this bat you probably can't hit with any bat. Great bat if you are patient enough to spend 15 minutes at a batting cage breaking it in.
  • Cons: Definitely on the heavier side.

  • Pros: 300 cuts started getting pop. Decent base hit bat so far. I still think it will open up more after a few more cuts. But for the price... it’s definitely a good buy.
  • Cons: Was hoping for a little more pop at this point.

  • Pros: feels great in your hands and swings well.
  • Cons: absolutely zero pop out of the wrapper. opened up a little after about 60 hits. have put about 100-130 hits on it and its still a dud. hoping it opens up at some point. still feels like every ball is water logged.

  • Pros: Bat needs to be broken in. Other than that I love it. Has good pop, teammates enjoy using it, and has a pretty cool design.
  • Cons: Ball sounds a little different coming off the bat. takes a while to break in. But really no big deal love this bat.

  • Pros: Well I will say I was skeptical after watching you tube videos and reading some reviews. Put all that aside, the bat is SICK! For the price and quick delivery, it's the best bang for your buck. If you cant hit homeruns or even bombs with this bat then go back to x box because there is no hope for you.
  • Cons: The grip blows so buy some 1.8MM Lizard skin and your golden.

  • Pros: There is a 300+ swing break in and the bat WILL change gears. The feel of the bat when you make contact may have been the reason on why the bat was initially unpopular and there was some bad reviews on SBF and Youtube on this bat. When you hit the ball, there is a dampening like feel on it and some might not like it but I did not have an issue with this. I have mine up to 500+ swings and it is hitting 44's and Classic M's very well. If you are tired of these "new" 2019 bats breaking withing 500 swings and failing compression tests, this is a good bat BUT you absolutely must break this in with 500+ swings or use a rubber mallet. )You can hit it while rotating the bat while you are watching TV The bat is extremely durable and can also make a solid team bat. It is different and will not be hot out the wrapper but it is a good bat.. JUST BE PATIENT
  • Cons: The extended break in and the initial feel might be "off putting" for some.. I personally did not have an issue with either of these issues but some may have an issue with this

  • Pros: This bat is excellent. After 50 or so hits in the batting cage, the ball pops off the bat. I let me friend’s hit with it and now they all want this bat. I highly recommend it and even better is it’s a great price. Great quality and hits the ball far.

  • Review by: Philip
  • Pros: After about 200 cuts on the bat, I can finally feel and hear it opening up. Like the previous reviewers have stated, the break in time is real, but I believe the longer break in time, the longer life the bat will have. So far line drives have been accurate, and when attempting home runs, I have either hit the fence or about 10 ft from the fence (300ft). I would recommend using the bat as the team bat for experienced players to enhance the break in time, and after about 400-500 cuts, making it a “me” bat. As for the bat being end loaded, I feel as if it is more balanced. Perhaps because I got the 26oz? I would recommend buying the 27oz, being that I am 5’10 180lbs. Other than all else, it’s a solid bat. No hard complaints.
  • Cons: Feels more balanced than end loaded.

  • Is this approved for an ASA league?
  • Asked by Charlie
  • No, this is approved for USSSA 1.20 BPF, NSA, and ISA.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Is the demarini dinger slinger a good bat? Or why the big price drop for a fairly new bat.
  • Asked by Darin
  • Yes, the Dinger Slinger is a very good bat. It is basically the re-make of the Flipper 1.20 that had been made in years past. This bat is on sale because it was released with last years DeMarini slow pitch bats, and we were able to buy out a lot of the remaining inventory on these. DeMarini's new 2018 slow pitch bats will be out in the coming months.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Is the Demarini Dinger Slinger a legit bat? How does it compare to the miken freak platinum?
  • Asked by DB
  • DB, the Dinger Slinger is definitely a legit bat. The Freak Platinum, made by Miken, is going to have a different feel as each manufacturer has a different style in how they build these bats. It just comes down to personal preference. At the end of the day, the Dinger Slinger is currently (as of 10/10/17) at $115ish, and that's a steal!
