CLOSEOUT 2018 DeMarini Flipper OG Slowpitch Softball Bat Balanced ASA WTDXFLS-18

The Flipper OG slow pitch bat is made as a hybrid, combining a composite barrel with an alloy handle. The Advanced Performance Composite in the barrel gives you maximum compression and a rapid break-in, allowing this stick to be hot and game ready from day one! The ZnX Aluminum Alloy in the handle gives you a stiffer feel, while also forcing the barrel to deflect more for increased potency and better durability. • Pros: I put about 100 swings on this bat today and 100 on the 12 inch barrel white Flipper. I really liked both bats, the knob, no vibration, the pop is very good. Break in time was 40-50 cuts and they both started to open up nice. Overall both bats were great, but I liked the barrel control I had on the white Flipper better with the 12 inch barrel. Really liked both bats, but I like the other Flipper better.

  • Pros: Bat is hot after 50-60 swings. I was beginning to get skeptical on the performance of the bat at first, hoping it was hot right out of the wrapper. Once the bat opened up, the ball flew. Great contact bat, sent a few over the fence too. Sends the ball flying even off the handle. Love it
  • Cons: Great bat, decided to ditch the grip. Doesn’t feel natural

  • Pros: I have multiple FLS flippers from '15 and '17. These still hit well driving balls through infield holes with speed. After 2 weeks, I'd rank the FLS '18 the best of the bunch. Line drives get to the outfield holes quickly with the solid contact you expect from a DeMarini. Customer service was great and the closeout price is hard to beat.

  • Pros: Hot right out of the wrapper. Everything felt good coming off the barrel. DeMarini has great customer service and sent me a return within two weeks.
  • Cons: Broke in two in after 120 cuts.

  • Pros: Hotttt out the wrapper kids. Mid Balance isn’t for all, but most of the guys on the team like this bat. Was hitting the ‘16 before and was hoping for similar pop. Placement is on point and drive it wherever I want. Would grab it again in a heartbeat and will likely get the ‘19.
  • Cons: You can go yard but there are other bats for that (end weighted).

  • Pros: Nice bat. Good pop after about 50 swings, evryone on the team started using it. Feels good when swinging, won't lose control. Im not a power hitter but was putting them over the fence with ease. Looks nice, performs well.
  • Cons: Unfortunately, cracked in 2 places after about 200 swings. Could have just been paint, but it worsened with use. Was a little disappointed nevertheless. Returned to demarini.

  • Pros: It did not take too many hits for this bat to be game ready. Perhaps 50. The ball is coming off the bat quickly. The only time the bat fails me is due to my poor mechanics.
  • Cons: Too many of my teammates want to borrow this bat.

  • Pros: Bat has been hot right out of the wrapper. Ground balls and line drives launch with good speed. Had 3 or 4 bombs within the 1st 25 hits of use.Expecting it to get even better after more hits. Fast 2 days shipping to my door.

  • Pros: Hot out of the wrapped and only gets hotter. This is my go to ASA bat. Balanced but can still get that quick snap like an end loaded bat with a fat sweet spot. I’m 6’5 260 and always swang a 28oz end load in various makes and models and both my flippers are 26oz. This has helped me be more of a line drive hitter with laser homeruns with the flipper versus a pop up/homerun/DBO hitter with the end loads and the ASA 6-12 pitching.

  • Pros: Price, pop, and distance. This axe is ridiculous out of the wrapper. Can't wait to see its performance after 500 hits.
  • Cons: I didn't get it at the beginning of the summer.

  • Pros: League players in my teams who have lots more experience than I do LOVE this bat, as do I. It almost feels unfair to use it. The mid-load weighting on my 26 oz feels perfect. This bat is the shizzle, and makes the ball sizzle.
  • Cons: It's a bat. It seeends the ball, and it feels like it will last many seasons. What's to complain?

  • Review by: Lucky
  • Pros: Nice graphics, my son calls it my Minecraft bat. Grip is nice, appears durable. Hitting old 52s only in 50°. Took about 50 hits to get going, sound started to change, bat started to hit missiles. Wind blowing out about 10 mph, but it was still reaching 330-340' with ease. Bat is holding up well so far.
  • Cons: Not as balanced as other balanced softball bats. Swings like a Combat Portent or Flip. Makes you want to swing hard if you're used to truly balanced bats,. Just remember to relax and swing easy, and this bat is the bomb

  • Pros: This bat has plenty of pop right out of the package. I cannot wait to see how it is once it is fully broke in. The mid load is perfect for my style of play. I spray over trying to hit dingers.
  • Cons: The wrap on this bat is not great. I will need to rewrap the grip very soon. It is started to come up after a couple of uses.
