CLOSEOUT 2019 Rawlings Threat Youth USA Baseball Bat -12oz US9T12

All new for 2019, the Rawlings Threat USA bat brings a light weight big barrel bat to the field. The Threat is the lightest swinging USA bat ever made. The Rawlings Threat USA baseball bat is a one piece, all composite bat, built for ball players that need a light swinging bat.

The extreme light weight of the Rawlings Threat bat is a first for the USA bat market. The super light weight minus 12 ounce length to weight ratio helps players get the bat through the hitting zone quickly.

We highly recommend the Threat -12 ounce for young players that can benefit from quicker bat speed and a lighter USA bat than they have been swinging up until this point. Stronger kids will not benefit as much from the light weight. Heavier bats will drive the ball farther for more experience hitters. Get your Rawlings Threat Youth Bat today, right here at CheapBats.com! No Hassle Returns, Batisfaction Guaranteed!

  • Pros: Unreal pop. This is the lightest weight USA bat out right now and it absolutely kills the baseballs. Hits just as well as the Quatro, Voodoo, Beast X Hybrid, and Solo, but it is way lighter and easier to swing. This is what USA bats should have been like from the start.

  • Pros: Very light. Great pop. Best bat for kids that need a lighter bat.
  • Cons: If kid is stronger they should use a -11 or -10.

  • Pros: Bat has great pop and easy to swing. Great grip and the color stands out.. Very well balanced bat my 8 yr old loves it. He is hitting the ball much harder and getting great distance on every swing.
  • Cons: Sound sucks

  • Pros: Weighting was great and bat had decent pop. Had high hopes for this USA stamp bat.
  • Cons: My son took batting practice twice outside with regular balls, and then in his first game after a couple solid hits bat is already developing splits/cracks in it. Doubt it will hit well after another game or two, and we'll have to turn it in. Will try and get a different model as durability is no good.

  • Pros: The Rawlings Threat is true to weight. My 29/17 with grip was right on the money on my digital scale. This is a great bat for young kids because it is so light. Stronger kids would do better with a -11 or -10 USA bat, though. Because the Threat is so light it simply can't produce the same power for stronger kids that a heavier bat can. That said the Threat is the best bat for most kids 8 or under in recreational leagues like Little League and Pony.

  • Pros: Light weight and very nice looking .
  • Cons: Not as much pop as I desired and my 9yr old son complains a lot about bat sting. I didn’t think the fully composite design would have a lot of bat sting..

  • Pros: Super light swing. My 10 year old is a big kid, but was having trouble catching up with older kids fastballs in LL. We bought this bat and it has been great. Once we broke it in, like all composite bats need, it really had surprising pop. He went from swinging late with another bat, to hitting doubles and triples. He likes the lighter bat. I would recommend this bat for kids that have a hard time catching up on fastballs.
  • Cons: When we first got it, he complained of bad hand sting. He complained a lot about it. So we bought the padded batting gloves and the easton knob ring. Both of those really helped, as his complaints about hand sting stopped. Also, would be nice if barrel profile was a little longer, sweet spot is small.

  • Pros: Great pop and power. Gotta love a composite bat that is high end for this price, considering other composite bats run $350 for little league. I highly recommend this bat for young baseball players in little league and pony.

  • Pros: My son is 5 turning 6 and I was having a terrible time getting him a USA bat that was light enough. This is the best one I could find that wasn’t a tee ball bat and he is killing it with the 27/15. Great pop and the factory grip is actually a really nice grip didn’t have to regrip it. Great service and price got the bat in two days.
  • Cons: Of course it’s a USA bat so it’s hard to compare to what my 9 year old has used with USSSA so has some hand shock in cold weather so far but just got it so have to see when it gets warmer

  • Pros: It is a great bat for the price. Being a composite bat it has a break-in period but its getting there. We have a batting cage at home, so we swing daily. My son loves the grip
  • Cons: The sweet spot is not very large, but you arent paying $300+ either.

  • Pros: Cheap Bats has incredible customer service, they recommended this bat for my athletic 48-inch tall 51-pound, 8 year old. He can swing this bat well which is helping his swing mechanics. The bat also looks sweet which aids in his confidence. Thanks Cheap Bats!

  • Pros: Light. True to weight. Decent pop. Bought my son a -11 for this season. It swung more like a -10 and he struggled to keep his bat speed up. Purchased this bat to get him through the year and it has been great. Several kids on his team are now using it with good results.
  • Cons: Has taken a little longer that expected to break in, but seems to have good pop now.

  • Does this bat needs to be broken in?
  • Asked by Lance
  • Yes. Due to the nature of carbon fiber composite material, all composite bats will break in and get better over time.
  • Answered by Mike
  • Does this bat weight 1-2 oz more like all the other new USA bats this year ,my son is 7 years old and i need a bat he can swing without dropping the barrel threw the strike zone ,he is using the prodigy 28-11 now ,sometimes stuggles to swing
  • Asked by Baseball Dad
  • Bats are listed as a certain size based on how much they weigh without the end cap or knob put on, as those are added after the fact. So, the final weight of the bat will depend on how heavy the end cap and knob are, and that is not specified by the manufacturers.
