2013 Easton S1 Power Brigade BBCOR Baseball Bat -3oz

The 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR Features:

Speed design for low M.O.I and faster swing speeds

The yellow and black 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR bat is a part of Easton’s S series, and the S1 is their flagship for the BBCOR bats this season. The S in S1 stands for speed and is Easton’s attempt to offer bats to everyone in every genre with your specific preferences in mind. This
bat from Easton is aimed at the baseball player looking for the greatest advantage he can get from the BBCOR
regulated standards while still having lightest most balanced bat possible.
The all composite two piece S1 uses the discovery of IMX pattern technology to make the S1 barrel as responsive as possible. It really did feel quite hot regardless of where I was making contact.
Granted nothing jumps harder than when you square one up but thats true for any bat. Several hits that seemed
less than solid at contact still had a charge through the infield which I could see. Home runs with the Easton S1 were dropping in BP as well.

BBCOR Easton bats use the term M.O.I in reference to the weight, or mass distribution of the bat. The M.O.I on the Easton speed series is less than that of it’s counterpart on the Easton X1. Translation, it feels lighter for better bat speed. They achieve this more balanced feel by altering the barrels of their S series and X series baseball bats from one another by giving the S series a slightly smaller one. I at 5, 11” 172 lbs personally found the Easton S1 to be more comfortable to hold and to swing than the Easton X1, but I found both equally effective.

They have continued to incorporate the conneXion piece on their best BBCOR bats of 2013. Using the two piece technology to help maximize pop, and as always it absorbed nearly all unpleasant vibration for me in the batting cages. The IMX BBCOR composite barrel performed sharply, with the ball really jumping off the bat. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and sound as well. Easton has made yet another contender for the best BBCOR bat of 2013
