  • Pros: I'm a Easton guy but lately Miken producing some the hottest bats. Easton bats are super stiff and I personally really don't have time for bp. The white dc41 what got me swinging Miken. But last year model had to much end load for me. I like balance and this bat feels super balance. It reminds a lot of the 4 the fallen bats. This bat has extreme pop out the wrapper. No bp needed. This bat will be my bat this year. Easton needs to seriously catch up because worth and Miken are taking over.
  • Cons: The bat says Miken not Easton.

  • Pros: Bat is HOT out of the wrapper. This bat reminds me of the 4 the fallen bat, which is what I was using before buying this. Can't wait for it to open up some more and see what it can really do!
  • Cons: None so far.

  • Pros: I agree with the review above. I'm 5'6" 160 lbs and did not feel the bat was "hot out of the wrapper". It is really starting to heat up nicely tho and I have about 100 hits on it. I think once it hits the 300 mark it will be insane! Great bat, love it! I would highly recommend it!

  • Pros: I got this bat because a buddy had one that was fully broken in, and it hit like a savage. I am a small guy 5'9" 155lbs and put one out on a 280ft field, the swing was like butter, it was the 26oz version which surprised me as I don't usually use that light of a bat. I've got about 100 swings on this and it's heating up nicely, I'm not a power hitter but it swings through the zone easily, and makes solid contact feel like you connected well. Good bad but only getting 4 stars because I can tell it'll need 400ish hits to open up. Also has almost a metallic ping noise that makes it stand out amongst the Demarini bats. I have last years ASA Flipper Aftermath in a 28 ounce that definitely has more pop (but has 300 more cuts on it). I'm not giving up on this bat, because I know it'll be a gamer once opening up.
  • Cons: Bat might be "hot" out of the wrapper, but I'm not a power hitter and don't hit bombs like everybody else says. I think it'll need some breaking in, which is fine, but to me that's worth a lost star, as I think it'll need 400+ hacks whereas the new flipper only needs about 100.

  • Is there a difference between the blkbu and the blkba other than the ASA and USSSA stamping?
  • Asked by Les
  • The ASA models will have the ASA association stamp on it and have an exit speed of the ball coming off the barrel of no more than 98mph. The USSSA model will have the NSA, USSSA, ISA, ISF stamps on it and have an exit speed of the ball off the barrel of 100+mph.

  • What's the difference between the USSSA and ASA freak bat? I see the USSSA bat is good for both and ASA doesn't say.
  • Asked by Lester Lawson
  • The ASA model Freak (BLCKMA) is ONLY approved for ASA. The Freak (BLCKBU or the BLCKMU) is approved for USSSA, NSA, ISA. Unfortunately neither of the bats come with both the ASA and USSSA stamps.
