  • Pros: I will start with this: bats I have bought new in recent years: 13 Easton L6; 14 LS Z3 bal; 15 Demarini USA Future; 16 Worth Legit BJ Fulk; and 16 Worth Legit Greg Connell. The Connell and Fulk we pretty hot straight out of the wrapper with the Connell having a significantly larger sweet spot. THIS 17 Freak30 is next level hot compared to those bats. Cant even tell this is a 12inch barrel. It is straight fire. Truly top tier.
  • Cons: Non really.....however IF feeling like it is slightly more than .5oz end load is a con, then there is that....

  • Pros: Bat is insane out of wrapper. Unwrapped it right before a league game and was hitting missiles. I highly recommend this bat. The color is very nice aswell
  • Cons: None at the moment.

  • Pros: Bat is ridiculous. Have the 2016 model but this is even better which I thought it would just be a repaint. Its not its hot!!! Feels good on contact. Ball takes off. Dont hesitate to grab one. Love the color as well. I like to think the ball blends in with the bat on contact. May be harder for fielders to see. Not saying it does just my thinking.

  • Pros: Solid crisp pop at ever contact. Definitely hotter than last years model. Reminds when the first batch of Freak 12s came out. Last year model had a lot of hype. I bought this for the color. And turn out better than what expected. The wall jumps off good. We were hitting a bucket of mix balls. All seem to fly off the barrel good. Tournament and league balls seem to come off hotter. Could be the cold weather. The bat just feels good.
  • Cons: Should've gone with a ounce heavier. It feels lighter than a 25oz.

  • Pros: Bat was perfect out of the wrapper. The ball was jumping off of the bat. I went with a 26oz to vary my bats and it has so much pop. My line drives are ripping at much higher speeds and distance. Absolutely love it. May buy another just to keep when this one gets worn out.
  • Cons: had for three weeks and no cons yet.

  • Pros: This bat is SICK! Pop from the first swing is great. I was wary about the 12" barrel after swinging my 13" Psycho, but was surprised by how great the sweet spot felt. Really spun the balls well.
  • Cons: I only have one!

  • Pros: Poppin' out of the wrapper, but really begins to open up around 100-150 swings. Hitting mixed bag of balls and hitting them all really well. Heavy endload so once you begin swinging, get through the zone fast and hard!
  • Cons: I have only one complaint, it does feel heavier than a half ounce end load, I wish I would have gone down from 27 oz to 26 oz. That is the only thing though, I cannot wait until this thing has 500+ cuts and is just roaring!

  • Pros: Hit a few out of the park after only 20 swings or so. Great pop out of the wrapper. The bat seems very forgiving on the sweet spot. Missed hits still seem to come off the bat with good pop
  • Cons: So far there is not anything wrong with this bat. I have heard it cracks easily but I havenât experienced that yet. Sometimes when the hit isnât solid the vibration gets you but not anything bad.

  • Pros: I bought this bat a couple weeks ago and have already put around 200 hits on it. I noticed the bat start to break in as early as 100 hits and I know it's only going to get hotter. I went with a 27 oz and it feels great. All you have to do to know that this is the bat to be using is look around while you're playing, you will notice very team has not 1 but several of these in their dugout. Best bat of 2017.

  • Pros: Fast shipping, item exactly as described, great return policy. This bat has great pop out of the wrapper, compared to currently owned bats. Hitting further with this than with other owned bats. Really pleased so far.
  • Cons: Price was the same as everybody else. Not a huge fan of the neon color.

  • I usually swing a 27 or 28oz ppll are telling me if I buy this bat go down to a 26oz cause of the .5oz maxload should I do that or no?
  • Asked by Jay28
  • That is not something that really be answered, as it's a personal preference based on you. However, a .5oz end load isn't that extreme, so if you went with a 27oz with the .5oz end load it shouldn't be too bad. Good for you is we have free return shipping within 30 days on all bats and fielding gloves, so you can order the bat, and just don't take off the wrapper or hit with it, but take some air swings and make sure it feels good. If you feel it's too heavy, you can return it for a refund (again, only take air swings before deciding).

  • Do you price match?
  • Asked by Jake
  • Jake, we do not do price matching. However, I am not sure a legit authorized dealer that offers a one year manufacturer warranty is selling these for lower than the $229 price we currently have on them.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Is the 24&25oz legal for men to swing in sanctioned leagues and tournaments???
  • Asked by Todd
  • Todd, I recommend giving your league coordinator a call to clarify league specific rules, as they vary and can have different rules/stipulations. However, as long as you have the proper approval stamp on your bat (ASA, USSSA, etc) you should be good to go.
  • Answered by Kris (Customer Service)
  • Is this bat ASA approved?
  • Asked by Luis
  • This bat is NOT ASA approved.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is it 1oz or 1/2oz endload?
  • Asked by Dan
  • This bat has a 1/2 ounce end load.
