  • Pros: Bat needs no break in time or BP.
  • Cons: Bat broke in BP, was told by a Miken associate bats are hot out of the wrapper and they don't recommend BP. Not worth the money and the shipping fees for a replacement, spend money on something else. I ordered the bat a week ago and 3 days of BP and it breaks.

  • Pros: Purchased this bat a month ago. First BP session, put around 50-60 hits on it. The very first hit had a very different feel and sound to the Z's and Flippers I've been swinging the last few years. Not a bad feel, ball jumped nice, barrel felt real stiff and the sound kind of made me think it was going to break in the next few swings. Thankfully it started feeling and sounding different on almost every swing. The sound was the same but the barrel continued to get softer and the ball really started trampolining off of it. After another two BP sessions and about 150-175 swings this bat was already a ton of fun to hit with. Hit a few .44/375 in first BP, then only .52/300's from then on. Crushed them both. This is a fantastic bat for the new .52/300's. The barrel is unique to my experience because it's soft, you can almost feel the ball get sucked in and spit back out at what seems like 150 mph. Truly a great bat. Has great exit speed and distance. Easily reaching 330' - 350' range at 60 swings. But the barrel just kept opening up more and more and becoming more and more fun to hit with, the exit speed only gets better with every swing. It seemed my distance remained the same but I don't need to be hitting anything further than that on my fields. Truly a lot of fun. Bat has a slight endload but my 28 freak pt feels like a 26 next to my 28 13 Aftermath. If you like a real top heavy stick this won't give you that but the performance cannot be denied. Also worth noting is it's real smooth through the zone and you don't feel much flex. Anyone who buys this bat will not be disappointed in its performance. If you are, then it's not the bat, it's the person using it.
  • Cons: Only had it a month I can't speak for durability. The graphics and paint scratches very easily. Of course that means nothing in regards to the integrity of the bat, just a con bc it's a nice looking bat but most likely not for real long. A personal con is I expected it to feel like most of my other 28's and it felt a lot lighter. Hopefully my opinions help you in your decision. Still love my aftermath's but loving this bad boy too.

  • Is this bat designed for the 52/300 core (low Compression) or are they made for all compression bats. Thanks Bob
  • Asked by Bob T
  • Yes, Miken makes their ASA bats to mash with the .52 COR / 300 lb compression softballs. However, they can still perform well with other softballs, too.
