Marucci Cat 8 BBCOR Baseball Bat -3oz MCBC8

The 2019 Marucci Cat 8 BBCOR bat was refined for two years before being released to the public. Stronger alloy, Faster swinging, more Forgiving.

Metal matters: The AZ105 alloy is Marucci's strongest aluminum, giving you thinner walls, more response from the barrel, and greater durability

AV2 Anti Vibration Knob: Next generation sting stopping technology means you can swing easy all day during batting practice, and confidently in games knowing your hands will be vibration free

Variable Wall Construction: Marucci uses specialized tooling to reduce wall thickness inside the barrel where possible, to expand the sweet spot farther up and down the bat

No Rings In Barrel: Most bat makers are still using 10-15 year old bat technology, they just put rings inside the barrel to pass the BBCOR test... Not Marucci! Rings make dead spots in the bat, and Marucci will not stand for anything less than the best!

Precision Balanced: Barrel is perfectly balanced for lower M.O.I for a balanced feel and ultimate bat control

One Piece: Single, solid piece of aluminum alloy is used to give you a reliable, traditional feel on contact.

Inspired and Designed with MLB input: Micro perforated grip is soft and plush, with tack for stick and comfort. Removable taper and ergonomically correct shape provide added control and comfort in both hands.

  • Pros: One of the nicest BBCOR bats ever made. The Cat 8 BBCOR is solid. Side by side, the Cat 8 out hits last years Cat 7 BBCOR without a doubt. The Cat 8 did not sting or vibrate my hands, where the Cat 7 did just a tiny bit. The baseballs were simply coming off the Cat 8 harder than the Cat 7. The Cat 8 hits and swings like a $450 composite bat.

  • My son is asking for this bat for christmas. Is this a good bbcor bat?
  • Asked by Holly
  • The Marucci Cat 8 is one of our favorite BBCOR bats ever. It is also one of the best selling BBCOR bats this year. We have hit this bat extensively ourselves and we love it.
  • Answered by Mike
  • What is the difference between the CAT 7 BBCOR and CAT 8 BBCOR bat?
  • Asked by MICHAEL
  • The Marucci BBCOR CAT 8 is constructed out of Marucci’s newest and highest-grade aluminum, AZ105 compared the AZ4X, which the CAT7 is produced from. The AZ105 aluminum is a stronger aluminum, which allowed us to engineer higher performance at the sweet spot and also thinner walls off the sweet spot creating more forgiving areas with higher performance, but the same durability as before. The CAT8 BBCOR also features up to 8 variables of wall thickness compared to the 7 variables of wall thickness as found on the CAT7 bat line.
