  • Pros: The new asa salvo has a solid feel. It is exactly what you would expect from a quality bat like Easton. It was an easy break-in. Took about 50-100 hits to make the salvo come alive. There are so many bats on the market, this is the only asa slowpitch bat worth getting.

  • Pros: I have had this bat for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. It is so similar to the Salvo SRV5 from a few years ago. It only took about 50 swings or so to break it in. Great Pop
  • Cons: Gauze handle, I added Lizard Skin to it and it feels so much better now.

  • Pros: Good bat with some pop. Good size sweet spot, I use this bat with a few different teams and it is become one of the favorites now that it is getting broken in
  • Cons: Took a good 50-75 hits or so to break in, starting to see some more pop off it but wish it had a little more. I have a balanced Salvo from a few years ago I like a little more.

  • Cons: Gauze grip needs to go. easton is my go to bats and i like it when they put there other signature grip tapes on.

  • Pros: Lots of pop! Bought this bat about halfway through the season. My team had only hit one homer all season, and we hit 2 in the first game we used this bat. I used it for BP to get it broken in, and it's hitting well after about 60 hits. I was looking to pick up a decent composite bat without going broke, and this bat was exactly what I was looking for. • Pros: Great endload feel. Love the weight especially coming from a baseball background. Bat is stiff out of wrapper but after a few BP's it seems to be coming around so I am beginning to game it.
  • Cons: Not as forgiving as a multi-piece bat but in the right hands after being broken in this thing could be an amazing performer for the price.

  • Pros: Solid bat, excellent quality, and great pop after 200-300 hits. Broke it in taking soft toss, and ball traveled farther with each practice. Sweet spot is near end of bat; works best w/ pitches on outside corner. Our team loves the 26oz.
  • Cons: Replaced the stock grip with 1.8mm Lizard Skin. Feels great now.

  • Pros: Bought this bat because I have the yellow version and like it so much. I ordered this one just a little heavier. I broke it in with some soft-toss and was hitting dingers with it in the first game. Great bat to spray the ball around the field with. The weight-distribution makes it almost feel like swinging a baseball bat.

  • Pros: This was amazing right out of the box. I never got more distance with any other bat. I had more distance and (what looked liked to me) an increase in exit velocity after contact. I had my best friend and I hit with this bat and we both noticed a big difference between the salvo and our other team bats. My first big hit was to the left corner of the field, got an inside the park home run because of it lol.
  • Cons: I would highly recommend putting some sort of grip tape (I have lizard skin on it). The stock grip is not that great.

  • Pros: Once this bat breaks in its freakin on fire. Composite Felt very stiff at first but about 200 cuts and this thing is hitting lazers. Can't beat it for the price. Hotter than most $300 bats. If you play ASA this bat will absolutely smoke .52 balls.
  • Cons: Stock grip was pretty bad. Put a lizard skin on and it's good to go.

  • Pros: Bought a 27oz, took it out of the wrapper and brought it to a modified game that same day. My buddy grabbed it off the rack and the first swing ever taken with the bat and the first ball to ever touch the bat resulted in a homerun to deep center. That game eveyone was using it and absolutely hammering the balls. Needless to say I hopped back on cheapbats.com and ordered another 27oz and two 28 oz bats. I was hoping this bat would be similar to the old Salvo I had years ago and it certainly has lived up to the name! Great pop right out of the wrapper.
  • Cons: Personally I am not a fan of the gauze grip. Easily fixed with a new lizard skin.

  • Pros: 34in/27oz: Great bat. Bought it due to the fact it was on sale and had really good reviews. Was looking for something similar to the older 2014 Easton Synergy. Not quite the same as the synergy, but this bat made a name for itself. Used it the day I received it in the batting cage and was instantly impressed. Had great pop, felt amazing to swing, and each hit felt completely solid. Smaller sweet spot, but when you hit that sweet spot you definitely know it. Will take a little to break it in fully. (50-80 hits). The bat does feel lighter than most end loads that I have used, which was a little awkward at first but you get used to it fast and the end load gives it awesome power. Solid one-piece design.
  • Cons: Handle/grip is smaller than what expected and was wrapped in gauze.

  • Cons: As others have said, the grip will have to be replaced soon. It's very thin and starting to come apart after 100 swings off a tee. I don't need to replace it yet, but definitely will soon.

  • I've been swinging the 2014 Demarini Flipper Aftermath (27 oz) for the last few years, and really love this bat. I realize that I'll need to replace this at some point, so I figured I'd start looking. It's hard not to be tempted by the price of the Easton Salvo, and I thoroughly enjoyed using the original Salvo years ago. Would you recommend the balanced or end-loaded version of the Easton Salvo? I didn't realize until recently that the 2014 Demarini Flipper Aftermath is more balanced than end-loaded, so I wanted to get some advice before making a purchase. Thanks for your help!
  • Asked by Mike W
  • The Easton Salvo end loads increase as you move up in weight. The 26 ounce will have a 1 ounce end load, 27 ounce has a 2 ounce end load, and 28 ounce has a 3 ounce end load. The balanced version may feel more like the weight distribution of the Flipper than the end loaded Salvo.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I usually swing a balanced 27 oz. What would work better a 26oz/1oz endload or 27oz/2oz endload
  • Asked by Tate
  • If you normally swing a balanced 27 ounce we recommend using the 26 ounce with a 1 ounce end load, as it will feel more like the balanced 27 ounce.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is it a usssa certified bat also?
  • Asked by Brandon
  • This bat is NOT approved by USSSA.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I usually swing a balanced 28oz, with this what would be recommended for this end load, a 26oz or 27 oz?
  • Asked by Batman
  • We would recommend using a 27oz. as the 27ounce Salvo will have a 2 ounce end load in it.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is that bat good for the softer core ball (300)?
  • Asked by Jesse
  • This bat is made for the softer balls yes.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is it single wall or double wall?
  • Asked by Garrett
  • The 2015 Easton Salvo SP15SVA is a multi-wall composite barrel bat.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • For the "out of wrapper" bats does the warrantee still apply?
  • Asked by Mike
