Pros: I needed a bat to work on my swing at the cage. Bought this bat in person and it felt great after a few sessions in the cage. Used it in 1 game so far and it has some good luck as I went 3-4. A lot of my teammates like the DeMarini Steel. I did some research on the bat AFTER I bought it. At cheap bats its about $10.00 cheaper than any other websites.
Cons: Grip is ok, seems like it can be worn out easily.
Plastic top cap seems cheap.
Overall, Pros outweigh the Cons and I love the bat.
I am not sure what you mean by closed. If you mean the end, this bat has an end cap whereas the Hammer has a rolled end. Both bats are similar in that they are 1-piece single wall alloy slow pitch softball bats. If you have any further questions feel free to email us at sales@cheapbats.com.
