  • Pros: Bat was very hot out of the wrapper. Hit my first homer in over the fence. Try teammates are also killing the ball. I play in a league that uses debeer clinchers. This bat destroys them.
  • Cons: That I don't have two.

  • Pros: HOTTEST BAT I HAVE EVER HIT WITH LESS THAN 30 MINUTES OF BREAK IN TIME IN MY LIVING ROOM. EXTREME POP EVEN WHEN NOT HIT IN THE SWEET SPOT. I HAVE HIT MORE HOMERUNS AND LONGER HOME RUN THAN EVER BEFROE IN JUST A FEW GAMES WITH THIS BAT.
  • Cons: EVERY PERSON ON MY TEAM WANTS TO USE IT.

  • Pros: As good as advertised. Surprising weight distribution, almost feels like an end-load. 50-75 swings in and it feels better and better. Would recommend to all ASA players.
  • Cons: Wish I had it all season.

  • Pros: Compared to the 2015 Flipper Aftermath, it is a bit hotter out of the wrapper. Took about 150 swings to really open up. Very smooth through the zone, with a giant sweet spot. Hits 52/300's harder than just about any bat I've ever swung (notable exception being the '14 Flipper). Best bat in my bag right now. I'm not a power hitter by trade but I've hit a couple shots with it. Handle feels great and I've yet to have a ball sting no matter where i make contact. Great stick, no doubt 5/5.
  • Cons: None, really. Some of my teammates aren't fans of the thin grip tape but that's a personal preference issue. $10 on some lizard skin and you'll be golden.

  • Pros: I have had the bat for about 2 weeks now and it has been a very pleasant surprise from a "pop" standpoint. I'm about 400 swings into it and it feels like it might be fully broken in now. 52 core 300lbs compression balls have been travelling 325-400 feet quite consistently. The graphics on the bat are very cool and have held up extremely well through aggressive swinging.
  • Cons: Although this is splitting hairs, the knob on the grip end of the bat feels somewhat smaller than normal. If rely heavily on the leverage of the knob you may want to consider buying a rubber knob extention. Overall, the best ASA bat I have purchased in a few years. I would happily recommend it to any buyer that is interested in an ASA approved bat. Cheapbats.com provided timely delivery and a very affordable price on the bat. Pleased with my experience.

  • Pros: Little to no break in time required, bat starts to really open up after a few swings. If there is a better performing ASA bat out there, I certainly haven't found it. This bat performs as advertised, overall great purchase.
  • Cons: Trying to keep the rest of my teammates from sneaking into the batters box with my bat in their hands.

  • Review by: BEE
  • Pros: Loved it when we got it. I was hitting left, right, center. Loved it!
  • Cons: Hubby and I play coed. I started complaining that it had a dead spot. You could hear a definite thud in the center meat of the bat. Hubby, a lefty, mostly places the ball so he was hitting off the sweet spot towards the end, until last night. He finally found the dead spot twice. I'm happy because now he knows I wasn't just "making excuses" but sad because we really loved this bat. Probably about 500 swings on it. . Hoping Demarini has and honors the one year warranty.

  • Pros: Hits the 375/44's as well as the Juggy OG. Just a great feel from the start. And I know that reviews always talk about hitting "bombs" the first time used, but it actually happened. Cleared a fence with this bat that I had only cleared with a "banned" Worth PST.
  • Cons: None so far.

  • Pros: I just got this bat on Saturday and as soon as I held it in my hand I knew this bat was fire. I also own a 2016 og juggy. But the flipper is so much better in my hands. Now everyone wants to use my new baby
  • Cons: The only bad things is I just sprained my knee so now I have to shelf it for a month or longer.

  • Pros: WOW this bat is hot out the gate! Its got so much pop. Its not even broken in yet and I've already crushed a moonshot to straight away center that had the "barely felt it" feel. Comfy grip and fluid easy swinger.
  • Cons: Whole team wants to use it!! No cons really

  • Pros: I've swung every 2016 Demarini bat for ASA and this is my favorite. In contrast to the Juggy, the Flipper swings balanced through the zone yet has a surprising, powerful feel. It's hard to describe actually. It just feels great when you swing it. Better than almost any other bat. Very similar to my Recoil which is end loaded. I would say that the Flipper OG is true to weight. The handle is slightly thicker than most bats. The barrel on mine is still a bit stiff compared to broken-in bats but feels soft - at least softer than the Flipper USA. The exit speed in really impressive. I hit some nice line drives with it. The sweet spot is also huge and mishits went over the 300ft fence twice and I got no feedback from the handle. I had no problem getting the bat head around on an inside pitch and placing the ball is easier than it should be with this bat. The Flipper absolutely destroys the .52. I've had around 80 cuts so far and now I won't swing any of my other bats. I've been gaming a 2007 Miken Recoil for 3 straight years but I've been buying a lot of new bats looking for something that feels great and can eventually replace it - and I finally found a worthy successor. Like the other reviewers, everyone that sees me hit with this bat wants to swing it. I hit a 350ft shot and the ump thought my bat was shaved. I still love my other bats, but this is now the gamer. Bats currently in my bag: 2016 Juggy OVL, 2016 Miken DC-41, 2007 Miken Recoil 250 (30oz), 2016 Flipper OG, 2016 Worth Liberty, 2014 LS Z3000. Experience: 12 years of ASA softball
  • Cons: The only con is the stock grip. I use hockey tape anyway but plan on replacing it.

  • Pros: So far so good. Has a good balanced feel and is very solid with good pop. I can't wait till I get to swing it more.
  • Cons: None so far, but I can see where the grip may not last long. Not a big issue since I can get a new wrap for less than $10

  • Pros: Have not had a chance to hit any balls with the bat yet due to the weather here in Michigan. However, I have swung the bat some. It does feel a tad heavy for a Balanced bat. Mine is a 27 oz. I was anticipating this though, because I heard that they felt a little end loaded rather than a pure balance bat. Which is why I bought it. Gotta Say, probably the best looking bat I have ever bought. Cannot find the 2016 hardly anywhere. even on the used market. Must mean that everyone loves it once they start hitting with it.
  • Cons: The price for the 2016 is almost the same as the price for the 2017. I still bought it (mostly because I think it looks way better). I am going to hope that the price is still high because it is going to perform better than maybe the 2017.

  • Pros: An all around awesome bat. I have 2 games on it now, and the pop this bat has is crazy. When you hit the sweet pot you almost can't even feel connection with the ball.
  • Cons: Wish I would have bought this bat sooner

  • How does this FLS16 compare to the FLS15? I swung the FLS15 during a game and it felt/hit fantastic, the entire team wanted one. Is the FLS16 the same bat as the FLS15, but just the 2016 model? Thank you for your time, Semper Fi!!
  • Asked by Jack
  • For the most part, both bats are the same. They vary in the alloy used in the handle and the style of knob. The 2016 model upgrade the alloy in the handle to the ZnX Alloy and switched knobs to their new RCK knob. The barrels themselves are the same from 2015 to 2016.

  • What is the difference between this bat and the 2016 Demarini Mercy. My league uses 52/375 balls which bat will perform better
  • Asked by Sprout
  • The Mercy was originally made for women back in 2014 and as the years have passed they made it a unisex bat. The Mercy is usually the best balanced of DeMarini's composite bats which will be a main difference between the Mercy and the Flipper Aftermath OG. Another big difference is the Aftermath OG has an alloy handle while the Mercy has a composite handle.

  • I got this bat and 10 swings in, it had a nasty vibration. A teammate had this same issue with his but his happened even quicker. Is this a problem with this model? Several other people in our league are having this problem with this bat.
  • Asked by Papo
  • We are unaware of a vibration issue with this bat. We recommend contacting DeMarini's warranty department at 1-800-937-2287. DeMarini may have an explanation to what you are feeling.

  • How long will the this bat be out of stock? Also if I purchased it now, would it be credit for the next shipment?
  • Asked by Big J
  • Unfortunately we do not take back orders on sold out items. This bat is back ordered with DeMarini until the end of the month.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Bat is designed for 52/300. I play in leagues using 44/375 trump rocks. How does this bat perform with those balls. Is there another demarini better suited for such core/compression?
  • Asked by Jared
  • If you can use a non-ASA bat such as a USSSA approved bat, it will perform better with the harder balls. The WTDXFLS-16 is indeed made for the .52/300lb balls but will still perform will with the harder balls, but those balls will put more wear and tear on this bat, making it prone to crack quicker.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Matte finish on the bat?
  • Asked by Andy
  • The 2016 DeMarini Flipper Aftermath OG WTDXFLS-16 does NOT have a matte finish but does have a gloss finish.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • How durable will this bat be
  • Asked by Brandon
  • This bat was released a week and a half ago and cannot tell you how durable it is at this time as it is brand new.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Women in ASA leagues are still using the 11' 44/375 ball. But all the bats now are being made for the 52/300. I own a 2014 Flipper . . . LOVE IT! I am considering buying the new Flipper, but will it perform on the 44 ball? -- As well as the 2014 Flipper?
  • Asked by MTY MOUZ
  • The 2014 Flipper has the same construction as new ASA bats now as well. The 2014 Flipper is made for .52/300lb balls. All ASA bats made after 2013 will be manufactured for the ASA ball. With that being said we can assume the new 2016 model will perform similar to the 2014 model.
