2014 DeMarini Voodoo Overlord BBCOR Baseball Bat -3oz WTDXVDC-V14

2014 DeMarini Voodoo Overlord BBCOR Bat

The laws of science are meant to be broken. DeMarini's laboratory in Oregon has churned out another winner this season. The new DeMarini Overlord is stronger and stiffer than ever before, and uses less material while doing it, which keeps the bat from being too end loaded. The 2014 Voodoo Overlord was designed for unimaginable, out of the park performance.

D-Fusion Handle - The all new Two Piece D-Fusion handle allows us to turn up the pop of the barrel to 11, while improving feel and all but eliminating vibration. This is very similar to the Easton ConneXion, but in our testing, the D-Fusion piece keeps the bat feeling stiffer than the Easton ConneXion does.

Paradox Handle - Stronger than ever before, the Carbon Reinforced Paradox Composite Handle is stiffer for better energy transfer between the barrel and baseball.

X10 Alloy Barrel - The powerful and rigid, DeMarini exclusive X10 Alloy barrel is fine tuned in the lab to have the perfect thickness of barrel wall. This special effort allows energy to be redirected back into the baseball and not lost out the end cap or in your hands.

RCK Knob - Curved to fit your hand, the RCK comfort knob is ergonomically designed for a smooth feel when swinging.

End Loaded - The Overlord has a mild end load. Not too heavy and not too light, this is the swing weight that more power hitter choose.

With more pop and more power than the plain old Voodoo, the night before games, the BBCOR Demarini Overlord is what will keep the other pitcher up all night.

  • Pros: The overlord voodoo has so much pop it's not even funny. The barrel is really big and so is the sweet spot. I don't have very many hits that feel like I miss the ball. I have also hit balls of the end of the bat and not felt any sting in my hands. So the d-fusion handle thing works like they say it does. The grip is perfectly grippy because its not slippery at all. Overall the pop is really good.
  • Cons: None yet.

  • Pros: Perfect balance is not too heavy and not so overly balanced, like the Vexxum is. The Voodoo feels smooth when I hit the ball, but stiff enough to not feel like I am losing power to the "whip effect". The baseball JUMPS off of this bat. Definitely one of the best bbcor bats for 2014

  • Pros: I'm a high school coach, and for the 3rd straight season we keep going back to these. Some bats better for contact hitters, some better for power guys, but the voodoo seems to be the best balance for everyone. Some of my starting 9 each year tries a few different bats, and ends up going back to this one. Good size barrel, generates spring on the ball on contact. Highly recommend. The ones we have had for 2 seasons already seem to have kept their pop.
  • Cons: Handle grip wears in less than a season, but you can replace that for a couple bucks.

  • Pros: When my friend let me use his voodoo overlord BBCOR bat before my high school baseball game in the batting practice first, to be honest I forgot it was a BBCOR bat. I asked him if I could have it because it was a really good bat. I have had other BBCOR bats in my High school season but none better than the voodoo overlord. I am going to buy this bat for the fall season.

  • Is this bat composite?
  • Asked by Jeff
  • The 2014 DeMarini Overlord has an alloy barrel with a composite handle. This bat is considered a two piece bat. The barrel is using DeMarini's X10 Aluminum alloy. The handle is using DeMarini's Paradox Composite along with the D-Fusion handle and RCK knob.
  • Answered by Kevin Bat Expert
  • Should you use the DeMarini Voodoo Overlord in cold weather?
  • Asked by Bmiller
  • Baseball bat manufacturers usually do not recommend the use of any bat under 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to the Overlord using high end alloy, it is more likely to break in cold weather than a lower end bat.
  • Answered by Kevin Bat Expert
  • What is the difference between the the Overlord and the Vexxum NVS DeMarini BBCOR Bats?
  • Asked by Mike from Florida
  • The Overlord uses the Paradox composite with the new D-Fusion handle (to dampen vibration), with the Ion-V end cap, while the Vexxum NVS uses the C6 composite handle and the M2M end cap. The Overlord is slightly top heavy compared to the balanced DeMarini NVS. Both DeMarini BBCOR Bats are top of the line and will get the job done for you, it is mostly a matter of balance vs end load.
  • Answered by Kevin Bat Expert
  • what is the date that the overlord will be released or shipped?
  • Asked by cam
  • The DeMarini Voodoo Overlor is expected to arrive in stock the third week of December at which that time they will ship out.
