  • Pros: Purchased this bat for my 9yr old son, 4"4' 60lbs for the upcoming season. Went with the 28 drop 11 in 2 5/8, last year he swung the Slugger Catalyst, 28 drop 12 in 2 1/4. We've gone out to the field 2x and to the cage 1x. In the field he is hitting the outfield grass far less than he did with the Catalyst. He is making a lot of contact and likes the bat and the 2 5/8 sizing a lot.

  • Pros: Excellent bat. The only difference between this bat and the Omaha USA is the Solo (this bat) is a teeny bit lighter, but not much. They both hit exactly the same. Save the $100 and get the Omaha USA. Especially since this one is impossible to find in stock.

  • Pros: I bought this bat to replace the Easton Ghost-X 30" that was declassified. We've had the bat for about 2 weeks now and my son loves it. He hit really well with his Ghost until he couldn't use it anymore. He used other USA bats until we decided what to get as a replacement, and none of them seemed to have any pop. This bat has great pop to it and he is back to hitting the ball hard again.

  • I am looking at this bat for my son who just turned 11. He is 4’5” and about 65lbs. Some reviews say this bat is for younger kids up to 9. Is this the wrong bat for him?

  • It all comes down to what length/weight bat is best for your son. That's not something I can tell you online or know by his size, really. Have him try out some bats and get a feel for his swing speed and bat control.
