Tee ball bats are the first bat a kid swings: 24" to 26" long, 2 1/4" barrel, and light, with drops from -10 to -13 so a 4 to 6 year old can get it around. They are built for hitting a soft tee ball off a tee, and every one here carries the USA Baseball tee ball stamp required by Little League and most rec programs.

Tee Ball Bats

Sizing a tee ball bat

Most tee ball players are best in a 25" bat; 24" for the smallest 4 year olds and 26" for a tall 6 year old. Weight matters more than length at this age. A -12 or -13 (a 25" bat at 12 or 13 ounces) lets a small player swing level; a -10 is for a stronger kid who is already making solid contact.

Do not use a tee ball bat with real baseballs

Tee ball bats are built for the soft, low-compression tee balls used in tee ball leagues. Hitting a regulation baseball with one will dent an alloy barrel or crack a composite, and it voids the warranty. When the league switches to hard balls, switch bats.

Is the USA tee ball stamp required? In Little League and most rec leagues, yes. Every bat here has it.
