  • Pros: Bat was hot right out of the wrapper. Sweet spot is pretty large and the one piece construction gives a great feel on contact. If this bat is anything like the old Salvo's this bat will only get better with age.
  • Cons: Not a big fan of the new Grip on the Easton bat lines

  • Pros: Bat is truly hot out of the wrapper. First hit on it was a laser into the scoreboard. Dual-stamp bats are making a statement this year. I love the feel of hitting one piece bats, and this is one in particular is probably my favorite, over my Psycho. I recommend this bat if you are a one-piece kind of hitter and you want a decent priced, high performing, dual stamp bat. This one will definitely be one of my gamers this year.
  • Cons: Not really a con but the bat is advertised as "evenly balanced". After swinging it, definitely felt a ton of endload to it.

  • Pros: Hot bat from the day I got it. Very forgiving barrel with a massive sweet spot. Great price compared to others at $300. I like that it is more of a mid load even though Easton calls it balanced. Great bat. You won't be disappointed.

  • Pros: So far so good with the bat right out of the box. Was using an older Salvo (SRV5) that I loved. This new version has almost the same pop from the get go. Still working with it to get it broken in, but no complaints yet.
  • Cons: No complaints at this time as this is the second Salvo that I have used.

  • Pros: Easy to break in and completely usable right out of the package. My fiance and I both use it, he's 6'4 and I'm 5'6 and it works great in a rec league for both of us.
  • Cons: Not a super big fan of the way the handle is taped. It seems like it's going to wear and come off very quickly, but that is relatively easy to fix.

  • Pros: Even if you bought it at full price it'd be worthwhile. Competes with a lot of $300 bats. I've had the same bat for a few years and the whole team has beaten the brakes off the thing and it's still got plenty of pop left in the tank. Best bang for your buck, ain't need anything more
  • Cons: Some people don't like the grip, but it don't bother me, I ain't no punk

  • Pros: Lots of pop out of the wrapper. Not as much as some other 2 piece bats that have more flexible barrels but still a Solid 1 piece bat. Home runs are not impossible as some people have reviewed. Great bat for the money!!!
  • Cons: Lot of vibration in the handle before breaking. Changed out for lizard skin 1.1mm and that helped a little, but still stings occasionally. As I'm breaking the bat in the sting isn't so bad.

  • Pros: Just got my Salvo a few days ago and took it out for the 1st time today. Always hit the ball on the line hard but this bat is SERIOUS! Shot after shot off the gate (about 270ft) in right field. I also swing the 6.0 which I love but the Salvo is the truth.
  • Cons: The thin grip which will be replaced shortly.

  • Pros: Generally agree with Matt's review. Good bat. Required no real break-in. Advertised as a "balanced" bat, but actually feels slightly end-loaded. Not really a problem with lighter weight bat... easy to make to adjustment. That said, a true "balanced" bat would be more effective if line drives and base hits were the primary objective.
  • Cons: Stock wrapping for handle is poor. Having purchased a heavier version of this bat a couple of years ago, I was prepared and immediately re-wrapped the handle with LizardSkins polymer wrap. Works greats!

  • Pros: Very good bat and liked the discounted price by Cheap Bats.
  • Cons: Pretty poor grip (agree with many others here). Removed it and put on a 1.1 mm Lizard Skin grip - much better.

  • Pros: The bat was great right out of the wrapper, and it took about 65 to 70 hits for it to feel totally comfortable and broken in and I feel sure it will only get better the more I use it this season.
  • Cons: The tape around the bat handle was flimsy, but I replaced it with a Lizard Skin, and it works perfect now.

  • is this a current bat model or a older version?
  • Asked by bj
  • This is a 2015 model but it is still in wrapper from manufacturer and completely unused. Still comes with one year manufacturer warranty through Easton as well.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • How different does the 26 oz vs 27oz feel (are they noticeably lighter/heavier)?
  • Asked by Matt
  • It's hard to tell you the difference as it's all relative, but it's noticeable. To some it's a lot and to others the difference is slight. It really just comes down to personal preference on the weight that you like.

  • How does this bat compare to the 2017 Easton Ronin Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP17R1UA that you have one closeout?
  • Asked by Dan
  • Very similar build and the composite material is the same.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Is this a balance bat because the guy in the video says it’s endload..
  • Asked by Mar
  • This bat is balanced. There are other Salvo models that are end loaded.
  • Answered by Mike
  • Will you have this bat in 28oz?
  • Asked by orlando
  • Unfortunately we will not be receiving anymore of the Salvo bats in a 28 ounce. We have just 27 ounce and 26 ounce remaining in stock and once we are out, we will not have anymore.

  • Would it be unwise to hit 44COR balls with this bat?
  • Asked by First Year
  • If there is an ASA stamp on the ball then it shouldn't be an issue.

  • How does this bat compare to the old one piece raw power balanced model- SP13B2? That's my current piece and I quite like it. Thanks!
  • Asked by Mark
  • Both bats are very similar as they are both one piece and both use the IMX composite.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • Is this bat single wall or multi wall?

  • does this bat have to be broken in before game use? also what means do you suggest? Rubber mallet?
  • Asked by dave
  • Please never use anything on your bat other than standard hitting with softballs. All bats will get better with usage and there is no exact amount of break in any one bat may need.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • As a more line drive hitter would u recommend this bat also any other recommendations of others types of brands as well..again I'm more line driver hitter being since I'm more of a smaller frame and focusing on speed more than power.
  • Asked by Andrew
  • The SP15SVAU is a balanced bat which is usually the preferred style of bat by line drive hitters.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • are the bats out of wrapper used?
  • Asked by tim
  • Out of wrapper bats are not used, they are new, but do not come with any warranty.

  • When comparing this bat to the Comp98 (new one Balanced, old one slight endloaded), does the extended barrel on the new bat, make it FEEL and SWING like the slightly endloaded version
  • Asked by Mark G
  • The 2015 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP15SVAU's 13.5" barrel length is just going to extend the sweet spot a bit more, but the weight throughout the bat is still balanced and will not feel like an end-loaded bat.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • How does this bat compare to the 2011 Salvo SRV5? I can't decide between end loaded or balanced so was trying to learn what the SRV5 was since I loved that bat.
  • Asked by Anthony
  • The 2015 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP15SVAU has a 13.5" barrel length and a balanced swing weight for increased swing speed and improved bat control. The 2011 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat SRV5 had a 12" barrel length with a slight end load for more mass at the end of the barrel. They both are made as 1-piece, 100% IMX composite, dual stamp bats.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Does this have a single system composite design? How does it compare to the salvo comp 98?
  • Asked by dom
  • Yes, the 2015 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP15SVAU is a single system composite (1-piece, 100% composite) slowpitch softball bat. While this Salvo has a balanced swing weight, the Salvo Comp 98 had an end loaded swing weight.
