  • Pros: Bat was hot right out of the wrapper. Sweet spot is pretty large and the one piece construction gives a great feel on contact. If this bat is anything like the old Salvo's this bat will only get better with age.
  • Cons: Not a big fan of the new Grip on the Easton bat lines

  • Pros: I'm tired of just about every review starting "hot out of the wrapper". This is a good bat and had others use it on my team so it was well received. Whoever is "hitting bombs" either is using insane balls or go to the gym and are on steroids. I like this bat well enough and the price made it more likeable.
  • Cons: Had to change the grip.

  • Pros: Hot bat from the day I got it. Very forgiving barrel with a massive sweet spot. Great price compared to others at $300. I like that it is more of a mid load even though Easton calls it balanced. Great bat. You won't be disappointed.

  • Pros: Bat is truly hot out of the wrapper. First hit on it was a laser into the scoreboard. Dual-stamp bats are making a statement this year. I love the feel of hitting one piece bats, and this is one in particular is probably my favorite, over my Psycho. I recommend this bat if you are a one-piece kind of hitter and you want a decent priced, high performing, dual stamp bat. This one will definitely be one of my gamers this year.
  • Cons: Not really a con but the bat is advertised as "evenly balanced". After swinging it, definitely felt a ton of endload to it.

  • Pros: Easy to break in and completely usable right out of the package. My fiance and I both use it, he's 6'4 and I'm 5'6 and it works great in a rec league for both of us.
  • Cons: Not a super big fan of the way the handle is taped. It seems like it's going to wear and come off very quickly, but that is relatively easy to fix.

  • Pros: So far so good with the bat right out of the box. Was using an older Salvo (SRV5) that I loved. This new version has almost the same pop from the get go. Still working with it to get it broken in, but no complaints yet.
  • Cons: No complaints at this time as this is the second Salvo that I have used.

  • Pros: so far i love this stick! took a few games but it seems to be hitting swell now. a few players on my squad like to use it. i was invited to fill in as ringer for a double header last weekend and that team also kept using it. the salvo is a great bat especially for price.
  • Cons: the only con is the grip tape was extremely thin. i immediately removed it & replaced it with 1.3mm lizard skin.

  • Pros: This bat is just beautiful like if you wanna see your true power get this, it's a work of art I was hitting liners and bombs with this in bp don't let this bat fool you seriously for it's price he'll I'll get 3 more. It's amazing balanced bat after swinging 27 end loads I decided to swing 27 balanced to go through the zone quicker and have a better snap. This bat is amazing seriously. do not sleep on this bat ! Get it now !
  • Cons: None, people say the grip tape but it's fine if you don't like it put white bat tape you'll be good.

  • Pros: Great performing bat! My entire team used it the first night I had it and everyone loved it. Launched our first homerun of the season! Also, cheapbats.com customer service was excellent! The first bat was damaged during the shipping process. I notified them & they sent a replacement bat OVERNIGHT with no questions asked. Will definitely shop with this company again.

  • Pros: Even if you bought it at full price it'd be worthwhile. Competes with a lot of $300 bats. I've had the same bat for a few years and the whole team has beaten the brakes off the thing and it's still got plenty of pop left in the tank. Best bang for your buck, ain't need anything more
  • Cons: Some people don't like the grip, but it don't bother me, I ain't no punk

  • Pros: I'm really enjoying this bat. I recently practiced with it for the first time, and was able to hit balls really hard from the first swing. I feel like there's a pretty decent sweet spot, and can't wait to start using this in games!

  • Pros: I've had good luck with this bat. I used the aluminum version for a while, then decided to upgrade to a composite bat. Right out of the wrapper I was hitting farther without any change in my swing. This bat is a great value for the money.
  • Cons: The grip felt a bit weird at first; however, the more I use the bat the more I grow used to the feel. I'm considering replacing the grip with something different, but overall it's not that big of a deal.

  • Pros: Just got my Salvo a few days ago and took it out for the 1st time today. Always hit the ball on the line hard but this bat is SERIOUS! Shot after shot off the gate (about 270ft) in right field. I also swing the 6.0 which I love but the Salvo is the truth.

  • Pros: Lots of pop out of the wrapper. Not as much as some other 2 piece bats that have more flexible barrels but still a Solid 1 piece bat. Home runs are not impossible as some people have reviewed. Great bat for the money!!!
  • Cons: Lot of vibration in the handle before breaking. Changed out for lizard skin 1.1mm and that helped a little, but still stings occasionally. As I'm breaking the bat in the sting isn't so bad.

  • Asked by Mark G
  • The 2015 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP15SVAU's 13.5" barrel length is just going to extend the sweet spot a bit more, but the weight throughout the bat is still balanced and will not feel like an end-loaded bat.

  • How does this bat compare to the 2011 Salvo SRV5? I can't decide between end loaded or balanced so was trying to learn what the SRV5 was since I loved that bat.
  • Asked by Anthony
  • The 2015 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP15SVAU has a 13.5" barrel length and a balanced swing weight for increased swing speed and improved bat control. The 2011 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat SRV5 had a 12" barrel length with a slight end load for more mass at the end of the barrel. They both are made as 1-piece, 100% IMX composite, dual stamp bats.

  • Yes, the 2015 Easton Salvo Slowpitch Softball Bat ASA USSSA Balanced SP15SVAU is a single system composite (1-piece, 100% composite) slowpitch softball bat. While this Salvo has a balanced swing weight, the Salvo Comp 98 had an end loaded swing weight.
