Louisville Slugger Pro Stock Ash Wood Baseball Bat WBPS14-71CNW

Louisville Slugger WBPS14-71CNW Pro Stock Ash Wood Baseball Bat

Why Ash? Strong timber, lighter weight. Pound for pound, ash is the strongest timber available. Ash has flexibility that isn’t found in other timbers, including maple. It tends to flex rather than break. This gives you a larger, more flexible sweet spot in terms of breakage. Due to ash being a lighter gross weight, we can produce a wider range of larger barrel models.

Who's using Ash? Who’s Using Ash? Joey Votto, Evan Longoria, Derek Jeter, Jay Bruce, Brandon Phillips, Adam Jones, David Wright, Ryan Zimmerman

Features:

  • #1 Grade Ash
  • Natural Handle White Barrel
  • Handle: 15/16"

  • Pros: Very good weight balance. I like a slightly heavier barrel in my bats, and this has just that. Good pop off the barrel and has lived through a few inside pitches off the handle. Exactly what I was hoping for in an ash bat. Can't beat the price.
  • Cons: The white color is VERY white. Caught me off guard when I first opened the box, but it looks sharp. Really, at this price, I have no other negatives.

  • Pros: So far so good. Great weight balance if you prefer a slightly heavier barrel. Good pop off the barrel and it has lived through a few pitches off the handle. Exactly what I was hoping for in an ash bat. Can't beat the price.
  • Cons: The white barrel is VERY white. Caught me off guard when I first opened the box. But other than that, no negatives.

  • Asked by doug
  • Louisville Slugger does not specify weight on their wood bats as each piece of wood is different. Most wood bats have a -2 in difference from length to weight but can weigh lighter or heavier.
