The Vertex Baseball Bat design utilizes a full LS-2X composite handle and transition area. The move to a full 100% graphite composite design in the transition allows for an even stiffer handle than offered in Exogrid. Graphite is lighter and stronger than aluminum, allowing for a stiffer handle. A stiff handle produces more barrel flex, resulting in maximum trampoline effect and, ultimately, greater performance.

The Louisville Slugger Vertex is equipped with AC21 Scandium Alloy. Louisville Slugger optimized the properties of AC21 Scandium when combined with composite to maximize performance and durability, and when AC21 Scandium is combined with composite it ensures thin walls, outstanding durability and unmatched performance.
