The Louisville Slugger RAID and the Louisville Slugger Attack are among the FIRST EVER 3-Piece Baseball Bats! The Handle, The Barrel, and the Socket Pivot Point with Elastomer "Rubber" Interface. The 2014 RAID from Louisville Slugger is equipped with Patented TRU3 Technology. With TRU3, Louisville Slugger has created revolutionary new transition technology to strengthen the link between the barrel and the handle of the RAID Bat to give it a trampoline spring and to dramatically reduce the vibration on contact. The socket & rubber interface is the hard connection between the barrel and handle, which results in a bat that is not only sturdier but a bat that feels better with every swing! One of the major benefits of this bat is that the vibration from a miss hit is absorbed before it ever reaches the player's hands. Without having to worry about the sting or vibration from an "off sweet spot hit," the player is able to maintain acceleration through impact for a more consistent performance at the plate.

In combination with the new TRU3 Technology, the 2014 RAID Baseball Bat is made with Pure 360 Composite handle and an AC-21 Alloy Barrel. Pure 360 Composite is Louisville Slugger's thinner, high-strength, and lightweight graphite fibers that allow them to use more layers in the handle and transition for added strength and reducing the overall wall thickness. Exclusive to Louisville Slugger, the AC-21 Alloy is developed using the latest aerospace technology available and is the toughest alloy used in baseball today. The Flex Band plays a big part in this too. Rather than thickening the walls of the bats to bring them in line with BBCOR Standards, Louisville Slugger has inserted a 1"-wide graphite band that gives this bat one of the lowest swing weights in the game, but the band is also small enough that the sweet spot feels just like your old BESR bats.
