2015 Easton Mako Torq Youth Baseball Bat -10oz YB15MKT

Youth hitters… say hello to “THE” bat of 2015… Easton’s Mako Torq! This green machine will revolutionize the game and your batting average!

The Youth Torq is constructed out of 100% TCT Thermo Composite material, which plays soft and strong with unmatched durability. Easton uses the patented barrel-to-handle CXN ConneXion Technology to make it a 2-piece, giving this bat a sturdy feel and a nice balanced swing weight going through the hitting zone. Also, the CXN limits vibration from getting to your hands and redirects that contact energy back to the massive sweet spot for sick trampoline effect and mad pop! This Torq also comes with a drop -10 length to weight ratio, an ultra-thin composite handle and gauze grip.

What makes this bat stand out is Easton’s new, innovative 360 Torq Handle. The bottom part of the handle closest to the knob actually rotates! So, when you’re swinging through the zone, the handle will rotate your bottom hand properly, allowing you to stay comfortable throughout the entirety of your swing. This proper rotation allows for more squared up pitches, more often as the barrel will stay in the zone longer than ever before! This advantage will increase the distances of your hits and also teach proper technique.

This Youth Mako Torq is 1.15 BPF approved and ready for youth baseball action!

  • Pros: Great pop and power similar to the '14 Mako Youth. Torq handle rotates the bottom hand in such a natural way, gets you smoothly into the palm up-palm down position. Almost no vibration/sting gets to the hands, even on miss hits.

  • Pros: The Mako Torq came in a nice, clean box from CheapBats.com very quickly. The handle was wrapped in plastic shrink wrap to prevent dirt from discoloring the grip. The barrel was wrapped in plastic shrink wrap as well. There is a warranty card in the shrink wrap, too. The first trip to the batting cages was a good experience. The handle rotates very easily. There were no hiccups when spinning it with my hands before using it, and my son had no problems with it rotating perfectly when swinging the bat. When hitting, my son echoed many of the reviews on here: Great pop. No vibration. Another thing he was he said he was able to get to the inside pitch easier because of the handle spin. Sorry I can't say more yet, but I wanted to give our initial experience of the purchase, unboxing, and first use.
  • Cons: None at all.

  • can my 13 year old son use this bat in junior and senior league. is it bbcor aprovrd
  • Asked by J D
  • The Easton Mako Torq YB15MKT is NOT legal for Junior or Senior Little League. This bat is NOT BBCOR approved. The BB15MKT is the legal Mako Torq for Junior and Senior Little League that is BBCOR approved.

  • My son is 9 yrs. old, he will be 10 next month, he is approx. 56.5 inches tall and 97 lbs. He is a pretty strong kid also. He is the "power hitter" on our team this season. He is currently using a 3-5 yr. old hand-me-down Easton Reflex my nephew gave him. It is a 31/18 or 18.5 that he does great and crushes the ball with. What size of Mako Torq would you recommend purchasing for him given this information? Thank you for your time.
  • Asked by tony y.
  • 31" is the recommended bat length for your son, according to the height and weight you told me he was. The Mako Torq Youth Baseball Bat is a -10oz (drop 10) and would be a 31"/21oz if you were to stay with the 31" bat length. I would maybe consider going with a 31"/20oz Mako Youth Baseball Bat because it's a -11oz (drop 11), so it won't be as big of a jump in bat weight as the Mako Torq would be (unless you went with a shorter than 31" Mako Torq which would weight less, but sacrifice bat length and barrel size). I hope this information helps you. All the 2-piece composite Easton youth bats are awesome, so you can't go wrong.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • How long does the torq last
  • Asked by Allstar
  • Not quite sure what you are asking in this question but we will do our best to answer this for you. The Easton Mako Torq Youth Baseball Bat is a composite barrel bat and if used properly by a single player should last at least a season. If your bat were to crack or break, the Torq does come with a year manufacturer's warranty starting from your date of purchase. The rotation of the handle can become impeded by dirt that may get inside the handle, but we have not heard of too many cases of this. If this did happen and the handle no longer rotated it would be covered in your year warranty through Easton.

  • Hey i was just wondering. Does the torq have the same feature as the mako. Like how its half speed and half mass.? or is it just another composite bat with a rotating bottom???
  • Asked by Chris Ponce
  • The Easton Torq will have the same features as the regular Mako but will have the special feature of a rotating handle.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • what one is better torq or mako xl I know that the mako xl don't have spinning handle will the handle the torq affect how you hit with a bat that don't have a spinning handle
  • Asked by ik
  • The term "better" will be up to each individual user. Both the Easton Mako XL and Easton Mako Torq are both high end high quality performing bats with different features. The XL is more of a traditional bat while the Torq will have the rotating handle to prevent rolling over on the swing. The rotating feature will be a personal preference.

  • what should a 11 year old have for a size, 30/20 or 31/21 he has just hit an over the fence homer and has started weight lifting?
  • Asked by gdude0978
  • It is difficult to make that decision over the internet without the size of your child and seeing him swing and how strong he may be. The best bet is to have him try both sizes and see which size bat he is most comfortable with.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • what has more power and I better for power hitter mako torq or mako xl and what is an overall better bat.
  • Asked by gdude0978
  • Both bats will be very similar in performance and will come down to personal preference on whether you want a rotating handle or not.
