2016 Louisville Slugger Z4000 ASA USSSA End Loaded Slowpitch Softball Bat SBZ416A-E

The Z4000 bats for 2016 are made as a 3-piece, constructed out of 100% Pure 360 Composite material. The barrel-to-handle connection is held together using the TRU3 piece, which significantly eliminates vibration and efficiently transfers contact energy back to the barrel. Speaking of the barrel, Louisville uses a Grit Blast Finish to create more spin on the ball. This spin will increase the intensity of your hits, making them go further at a faster speed. Lastly, the Z4's have a 7/8" Tapered Handle12" Barrel Length & the standard slow-pitch 2 1/4" Barrel Diameter

End Loaded - Made for power hitters, this Z4000 has an End Load weighting for more mass at the end of the barrel.

Dual Stamp ASA/USSSA - This bat is approved for USSSA, ASA, NSA, ISA and ISF softball associations.

  • Pros: This bat is something else! After a short break in period, the feel and sound of this bat on contact is worth every penny spent! Ive got about 200 cuts so far in the cage with a clincher softball, everybody on my team wants one. I cant wait till 2nd week of April to put it into play! Im by nature a base hit hitter, and hit a lot of line drives, this bat is feeling like i can reach the fences. We WILL be purchasing more models of this bat for our team. As of now this line of bats is the hot item in our league as well as the older models of the Z line>>>>#LS
  • Cons: Not a damn one!

  • Pros: Best ASA bat BY FAR! This thing is a bomb dropper right out of the wrapper. we put 200 swings on it and took it to a tournament the next day and it was immediately a team favorite. this bat KILLS the 52/300 balls. The Z4000 is the best bat available and out performed all of our other bats by a large margin (Z1000, Easton L6, Z3000, Miken Super Freak 52, Demarini Flipper Aftermath). My new favorite and I highly recommend.

  • Pros: This bat comes hot straight out of the wrapper. I'm not usually a power hitter but I get a homer run here and there, with this bat I've been hitting bombs all over the field. When the ball is hit smack on the sweet spot the feel of the bat and sound of the ball are like music. In addition to the Z4000 I purchased an Easton L 6.0 Endloaded and a Miken Psycho Endloaded, by far the Z4000 is the best out of all three. Great job by Louisville Slugger with this bat. Keep them coming.

  • Pros: Great bat 50 swings on it and hit nasty line drive wouldn't want to be an infielder with the line drives that come off this bat. Sounds like the old z1000.
  • Cons: None this far.

  • Pros: This bat has an amazing feel to it if you like the end load feel! Bat is already hot out of the wrapper but once you get 75 to 150 swings on it the ball starts flying off the bat like a trampoline affect! I love this bat and deffinitly made me a Louisville Slugger fan!
  • Cons: None that I would say I love this bat!

  • Review by:
  • Pros: Hot on SWING 1. If you play in ASA and use the 52/300 this ball will come off the bat NICE. It will feel a bit lighter than the sticker weight. Feels more balanced than end loaded. I do not have enough swings on the bat to determine durability but I will say this. Do NOT hit a 44 cor and above with this bat. You will destroy this bat with any hard core ball above 44 cor. But keep in mind that this bat will absolutely light up a 52/300.

  • This bat is dual stamped but I mainly play in a usssa and nsa, I am looking at this bat to get to play in that and if I choose to play in an asa tournament. Will I get the same performance out of the bat in a usssa game and an asa game? or would I be better off getting a straight usssa/nsa stamp only bat?
  • Asked by Jason
  • You will NOT get the same performance from the dual stamp and the USSSA bats. The ASA/USSSA dual stamp Z4000 has an exit speed of 98mph and is made for the soft .52/.44 core 300/275 pound compression balls. The USSSA/NSA bat is made for the harder balls used in the USSSA/NSA tournaments and has an exit speed of 100+mph. The SBZ416U-B, SBZ416U-E will have a better performance than the SBZ416A-B or SBZ416A-E.

  • I am looking to buy this bat for $85 but when I order it comes up at $215. Did these bats sell out and you haven't removed them from the list or is there is a code to put in. Thanks, Bob
  • Asked by BobT
  • Bob, the bat is $299.99, but we have an Out Of Wrapper discount available in a 34"/26oz & 34"/28oz that do NOT come with a warranty for $85.00 OFF, which makes the price $214.99.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Does the bat still have a warranty if it is out of the wrapper .
  • Asked by Dave
  • No, OUT OF WRAPPER bats do NOT come with a warranty.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • What does out of the wrapper mean? Is it used? Returned? Damaged in any way?
  • Asked by Gabe
  • Out of the Wrapper means it was taken out of its plastic wrapper and used for images to put on the site. It has never been used for hitting, it is not damaged, and it was not returned.
  • Answered by Kris (Bat Expert)
  • Will this bat hold up well with different core balls? I play in various leagues that use different balls. An ASA league that uses .52/300 balls for men and .44/375 for women, and a USSSA league that uses .40/325 balls. Is the bat break down over with the smaller core balls?
  • Asked by Dave
  • All ASA bats are meant to be used with the .52 core 300lb compression balls which are a softer ball. ASA bats used with a harder ball such as the .44 core 375lb compression ball will not hold up as long. The bat break down will be due to the compression of the ball. Softer barrels (composite) should be used with harder balls & harder barrels (aluminum) should be used with softer balls.
