CLOSEOUT 2016 Louisville Slugger OMAHA 516 BBCOR Baseball Bat -3oz BBO5163

Louisville Slugger constructs the Omaha 516 Baseball Bat as a 1-Piece, crafted with a 7U1 Alloy Design. The all-aluminum build is going to give you the traditional, sturdy bat feel with a barrel that is hot right out of the wrapper and game ready from day one. Speaking of the barrel, the Omaha 516 has the Flex Band Barrel Technology incorporated inside the walls, which is a 1"-wide graphite band that increases the strength and power of the sweet spot for increased hitting distances and insane "pop". Also, Louisville Slugger stocks the Omaha 516 with Lizard Skins, giving you the comfortable feel you need at the plate with the best bat grip in the game. Lastly, this Omaha 516 comes with the BBCOR Certified stamp on it, legalizing this bat for High School and Collegiate play.

  • Pros: This is my sons first drop -3 bat. He is hitting better than his drop -8 composite bat right out of the wrapper.
  • Cons: Non so far. Lots of pop. Does take proper swing mechanics to get great results. Due to the weight.

  • Pros: Builds upon the 515. I disagree with the other reviewer saying its not as good as the 515 from 2015. The 516 is stupid hot. Balance is good. Pop is crazy good.
  • Cons: Others say durability but I have never seen one dent or break

  • Pros: The new 516 looks good. It features a new aluminum alloy, Lizard grips, and a neat bright green end cap and knob. The feel is similar to the 515 except for the grip When you swing it. But its definitely not the same bat.
  • Cons: The distinct sound of the one piece bat is missing. It sounds soft and feels soft when you hit. Not as much pop like the 515. Disappointing. The new hand grip I thought would help makes the bat slippery. Yeah I know right? I had the team try it too. They said the same thing. Its hard to hold on too. Use pine tar its the only thing that helps. Poor performance overall. I would not recommend this bat.
