  • With the new standard of USA Bats, what differences will there be in the performance of composite and alloy bats? IF they all must react like a wooden bat? I am currently looking at the differences between the Rawlings Velo and Easton Beast versus the Rawlings Quadro and Easton Ghost? I understand the differences in the older standards for USSSA bats from 2017 and earlier, I am interested in the gap if any between alloy and composite now with the USA Bat standard.... Thanks!!! DAve

  • Dave, ALL of the USA Baseball bats, whether they have composite or aluminum barrels, will have the same limited exit speed that is equivalent to a wood bat. Composite is just a more durable material, and also has less vibration felt in the hands, while being more expensive typically. Aluminum gives you ball feedback and has no break-in time, while being a bit more price-friendly. It just comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.
