CLOSEOUT 2016 Easton Bomb Squad Brett Helmer Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded SP16BHU

This Bomb Squad softball bat has a 2-Piece Bat Construction and is crafted with a 100% TCT Composite Design. TCT, short for Thermo Composite Technology, is Easton's top composite material that gives you the biggest possible sweet spot, great performance, and incredible durability. The CXN Zero barrel-to-handle piece works with the 29/32" SIC Black Carbon Composite Handle to maximize energy transfer for an optimized feel, while also eliminating vibration/sting from getting to your hands. The 1.2mm Hyperskin Bat Grip, an upgrade over last years gauze grip, has a nice tacky feel with the right amount of cushion. This Bomb Squad bat is made with an End-Loaded Swing Weight, which gives the barrel additional weight towards the end cap, giving you more power potential at the plate. • Pros: Great feel with very little vibration that cme through the handle after contact. Has lots of pop with the 2.5 oz endload.
  • Cons: Had to change the grip but easy fix with getting lizard skin. Bat is still stiff can't wait for it to break in.

  • Pros: Was hot out of the wrapper! Hit the ball real hard and almost killed an outfielder with a knuckle ball line drive. Half the team was using it by games end.
  • Cons: None that I can think of at this point.

  • Pros: Very nice. (27.5oz with 2.5oz end load) The progressive end load does not have that sledge hammer feel at all. Very smooth throughout the swing. Not bad out the wrapper but after 500+ swings this bat will SMASH the Classic M 44/400 44/525 44/375 and the 47/450. Extremely durable at 1400+ swings (no racks, no spirals no signs of stress on the barrel). After 1000 swings the bat tested at 255 and is on FIRE. Eastons do take time to get game ready but they are so durable, you can make this a team bat and have no concerns about durability. This bat also stays above compression limits much more longer than Miken/Worth.
  • Cons: Break in takes time No less than 500 swings

  • Pros: I like the 3.5 oz end-load! After about 300 hits, it was game ready and hitting "BOMBS"!!! Gamer for next season. I will buy another one because it is that good for pure distance!
  • Cons: I didn't like the handle because it was to thin for me. I put extra bat tape around the handle until it felt good to me.

  • Pros: This bat is awesome! I bought the 34 inch 28.5 ounce. Supposedly you have to break in bats for their full potential? This bat must be broken in already. It has a big sweet spot and tons of pop. I can't wait to see how far the ball goes after break in. I've always been a home run hitter, but this bat makes it too easy now. Highly recommend this bat. Highly recommend cheapbats.com also. Great price on the bat, free shipping, and received the bat in two days.
  • Cons: The only con I have is the handle on Easton bats is too thin for me. But, an easy fix. Put on a bat taper and thicker lizard skin grip and its perfect for my big hands.

  • Pros: The bat is good has a heavy end load so you get around on it fast. It has took a little bit of time to adjust because my other bats don't have as much end load. The bat sounded weird at 1st but after about 100 hits it sounds normal. Does not have as much pop as my miken but that is fine with me.

  • Pros: A well balanced bat that is easy to swing. Also, it doesn't swing like other end loaded bats, it swings more like a balanced bat but without sacrificing distance or power.
  • Cons: Nothing major just the the grip is a little thin - had to replace it.

  • Pros: I've taken about 100 cuts with this bat and it feels great. Huge sweet spot. Fairly hot out of the wrapper but I can tell it will get better with age. It feels very similar to my 2011 stealth which I have put well over 1000 swings on and is still hot so I know this bat will be similar. I've already hit home runs with it so I can't wait to see what it does after it breaks in.

  • Pros: Bought this as a gift for my Boyfriend. He is one that has many bats. I bought this one because of the end load weight . He likes it alot. He has told me that it is going to be replacing many of the other bats he bought to play softball with. HE is a power hitter and this is going to allow him to place and hit the ball further.

  • Pros: Bat has a lot of pop once it breaks in. Love the end load weight, it doesn't make it feel heavy at all.
  • Cons: Break in time. Took a few weeks before I noticed the pop. However, if you're someone that plays multiple days a week, it'll take less time.

  • Pros: This bat is a sledge hammer. If you can get the 28.5 around and make good contact, you will be hitting missiles
  • Cons: Takes a little to open up but man when it does it hits the ball like a sledge hammer

  • So I had bough this bat had it for a couple of days and the other side of the barrel is like dark blue, it was weird idk if it's cause if the weather or not . But is that normal ?
  • Asked by S
  • We are not familiar with this bat turning different colors. This sounds like a warranty issue and we recommend contacting Easton's warranty department at 1-888-259-1297.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • My question is if I got a 26.5 Brett helmer bat than the 27.5 would it have less of and end load and less of a sweet spot also. And also would a 26.5 lean towards kind of swinging a 27 ? I'm about 5'9 240
  • Asked by X
  • The sweet spot on all of the sizes will be the same. The end load will be lighter on the 26.5oz. than on the 27.5oz.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • What's the difference between this and the Helmer Flex?
  • Asked by Corey
  • The Easton Bomb Squad Brett Helmer comes in the 1/2 ounces sized (26.5oz., 27.5oz. & 28.5oz.) while the Easton Helmer Flex comes in the standard sizes (26oz., 27oz., 28oz.). The Bomb Squad will have more of an end load with a 12 inch barrel while the Flex will have a 13.5 inch barrel.
  • Answered by Kevin (Customer Service)
  • I have never swung an Easton bat but I have done a lot of research. What size should I get? Most of the time I swing a 27 with 1 oz end load.
  • Asked by Levi
  • To what information you have given us we think it is best you order a 27oz.

  • What's the difference between this Bomb Squad Brett Helmer and the Bomb Squad Scott Kirby?
  • Asked by Nate
  • The only differences between the 2016 Easton Bomb Squad Brett Helmer Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded SP16BHU and the 2016 Easton Bomb Squad Scott Kirby Slowpitch Softball Bat USSSA End Loaded SP16SKU are the end-load and the composite type. While both being end-loaded, the Brett Helmer has a half ounce more of end-load when being compared to the Scott Kirby. As far as the composite, the Brett Helmer uses Easton's top composite called TCT (Thermo Composite Technology), while the Scott Kirby is made with Easton's vintage composite called IMX.
