The 2027 Ghost OG is the first real Ghost OG refresh since 2025. The 2026 lineup did not include a brand-new OG SKU — Easton carried the 2025 platform (EFP5GHOG) forward into 2026, with the "Rocket Pop" red/white/blue colorway as the standout 2026 drop. The 2027 (EFP7GHOG) is when the OG line moves to a new model-year build.

The on-paper feature stack is consistent between the 2025/2026 platform and the 2027:

1. New colorway. Easton describes the 2027 Ghost OG as having an "icy-fresh makeover." 2. Refreshed feel and design. Easton's own framing calls the 2027 an upgrade to "feel and design" rather than a tech overhaul. The marketing language on the grip is now "Flow+Tack" — Easton already used this name on the 2025 Rainbow Sherbet, so it appears to be branding alignment rather than a new grip compound.
3. A numbered Launch Edition. A 1,500-unit individually-numbered Launch Edition is being released alongside the standard 2027 in -10 and -11 drops, with VIP early access ahead of the general public release.
What didn't change (and that's the point)
If you loved your 2026 OG, the 2027 isn't going to feel like a different bat. The Double Barrel sound, the two-piece flex, the sweet-spot size, and the balanced swing profile are all built on the same Easton tech the OG has carried since the lineup's relaunch.
Easton's whole pitch on the OG is that this is the version of the Ghost that "brings back everything hitters loved" about the original — so the consistency between model years is intentional. The 2027 is a colorway/feel refresh on a known-good platform, not a teardown rebuild.
So should you upgrade?
A few honest scenarios:
- You're playing on a healthy 2025 or 2026 OG. Don't replace it. The platform is the same. Burn through your current bat first.
