Is this bat recommended for kid pitch or just coach pitch style ball

Your question will depend upon the rules and regulations that your child plays. This bat does have a 2 3/4" diameter barrel that is not normally allowed in league play, but is normally only allowed in club/travel ball or tournament play.

Being 5'2 you probably should be swinging a 32 inch bat but it will all come down to what you can handle.
